Ross is a one-of-a-kind, exceptional personal trainer in the Mission District. As a former competitive swimmer with several chronic injuries, I've worked with multiple trainers and physical therapists in my athletic career, and I was looking for someone in SF who was deeply invested in helping me reduce daily pain while being equally committed to helping me get stronger -- I'm very fortunate that Ross has exceeded those expectations. I've had so much fun learning detailed tips and tricks to improve my technique/form, and I look forward to many workouts to come under his guidance!

I’ve been training with Ross for over three years, and I can’t say enough good things about him! He’s not just a personal trainer—he’s been a key part of my fitness journey. My goal has always been to get stronger while minimizing injuries, and Ross has helped me achieve that with a smart, sustainable approach. Ross goes above and beyond by recommending quality equipment for my home gym and sharing fitness books, videos and articles that keep me inspired and informed. It’s clear he genuinely cares about his clients' progress and long-term well-being. I truly look forward to our weekly sessions. He’s easy-going, great at conversation, and makes every session enjoyable. Over the years, he’s become someone I consider a friend. Honestly, my only complaint is that we don’t live closer and get to hang out that much! If you’re looking for a knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely supportive trainer, I can’t recommend Ross enough.

I first started with Ross over 20 years ago before I got married; what a great person to work with all these years. He is knowledgeable, friendly, and a great mentor. Everyone is different, body shape, gender, fitness level, so he really takes the time to study YOUR fitness goal, and creates a workout plan that works for you. As I have aged, my goal is to stay "fit", but was always worried about doing the wrong workouts leading to injuries. This is often the case when you hire trainers who just put you thru the "motions" for an hour, without regard to the "aftermath" of doing the wrong exercise for MY body type; ie, make you jump rope or lunge for 10 minutes straight, and not be able to walk for the next 5 days without pain.... Ross plans your fitness routine that works best for your body; always conscious of injury prevention, always conscious of progress, always conscious of how your body "feels" post workout. This is the type of trainer you want; one that treats you like a person, not just another number.

I have been working with Ross for nearly a year and it has genuinely been a life changing journey. I have very little experience with personal training, but from the onset he was patient and encouraging and specialized our program in a way that has resulted in me feeling confident at the gym, and most importantly, stronger than I've ever felt before. He's super easy to work with and I always look forward to our early morning sessions. He's also super flexible with scheduling and is very responsive if something comes up. It's extremely reassuring to have your physical health in the hands of someone as knowledgable and capable as Ross. I couldn't recommend working with him more!
