Excellent workout studio. It’s a beautiful building on the corner of Castro with a great vibe and friendly staff. I had tried cycling classes before and didn’t love them—I always felt like I might slip and get injured, or that I couldn’t catch my breath. Here, though, I felt well instructed, safe, and most importantly, it was fun. It feels like going to a club or a loud bar while burning calories at the same time—dream.

I've been going to SoulCycle regularly for 4 years, including riding the SoulCycle at Home bike, but the Castro location is my absolute favorite. You feel welcomed and appreciated the minute you walk in, and they truly take time to get to know you. At the very beginning, I was only going once a week, and within a few weeks, they recognized me by name. It's so lovely to walk in and have them say, "Good Morning, Jaymie Lynn. I have you all checked in, is there anything else you need?" It's funny to me that negative reviews talk about being asked to put phones away. Are we as a society so tied to technology that we can't disconnect for 45 minutes? Part of the culture is for you to fully engage in yourself, and they clearly outline this policy. They also say if you're worried about a potential emergency, you can ask the front desk to keep your phone and alert you if something comes through. (Which I know the team would be happy to do to ensure you have some peace of mind!)

I live in SD and my wife surprised me on a trip to SF, since I already do SoulCycle in SD, I naturally had to go to the ones in SF. On my birthday I went to this location and took a class with Kamelle, and personally I think he was the best. Kamelle, I only met you on my birthday for this class, and in 45 mins of knowing you I fell in love with your energy, you’re an inspiration and you have no idea how unforgettable you made my birthday. I will come back and take your classes ALWAYS. I hope you come to SD sometime too.

If you’ve been to Soul Cycle before you know the drill... However, this studio in the middle of Castro does not disappoint! Unlike any other SC studio I’ve been too, this studio has UV lights and a glitter ball! This studio offers showers, towels, hair bands, deodorants and hair spray - all free of use. Spin shoes have to be worn and there’s a $3 charge if you don’t have your own. If you have a chance to go to Kamille’s class then DO IT! Instagram: @Lilfitmiss

A little small and that can lead to crowds forming between classes. But the facilities are very clean, the staff is very nice and the bikes are in excellent condition. Highly recommend taking Paula's class if you're a beginner, she's the best to help new cyclists IMO.
