Joining Kare's Pilates studio was the best decision I've made for myself and my body in a long time! I have a history of lower back issues that countless of hours of PT never really managed to address. I then laid on a Reformer for the first time and decided to give Pilates a try. I initially signed up for Kare's introduction course (4 individual sessions) which I then extended with more sessions. Kare's teaching of Pilates fundamentals gave me new tools to better understand and correct my body while also providing a solid base on which build up further with more advanced Pilates and other aerobic exercise.

My ongoing work with Kare is what keeps me pain-free. I met Kare after being diagnosed with debilitating herniated discs. I could barely walk and standing in one place created unbearable pain. Through Kare's careful work with me, she developed a plan to help strengthen my core and used exercises that supported the plan. Long story short, I have now been in Kare's studio for 4 years and living pain free. It literally brings a tear to my eye typing this. I have a new relationship with my body and know what to do when I am tired or sore. I love the practice and am so grateful for Kare's studio, my safe haven for healing, learning, and growing!

Karen is a wonderful and compassionate Pilates teacher. She has taught me so much more than Pilates. I feel like my body is transformed from the work we do together, and there is more to come! I started working with Karen after I graduated from Physical Therapy for a back injury. My work with her is integral to maintaining my largely pain free existence.

This is my first experience with pilates, and it's been incredibly helpful. After a series of sessions with Karen, I have noticed immense improvement around my back pain and overall health. I have struggled with back and hip issues for about 10 years, and pilates seems to be finally getting at the root of my trouble. Beginning with basics, such as how I am breathing, we have made some powerful shifts in how my body moves. Karen's simple exercises have helped to engage muscles that have seemingly been asleep for years while disengaging the hip flexors and giving them a break from all the unnecessary work they've been doing. Karen has been really supportive and intuitive through this process, and I am so glad to have found her and pilates.
