Absolutely thrilled with the new MX3 gym in Noe Valley! The private and reservable stations are a game-changer, saving me wait times for equipment like squat racks. The gym is spotless, well-equipped, and the staff are incredibly friendly. It's the perfect addition to our neighborhood. Highly recommended for anyone looking to lift weights in a great environment!

Noe needed a gym like this! I was a customer in their Castro and Mission location and I was beyond excited to hear they were opening in Noe. TLDR, brand new equipment, you get a private station when you book so no fighting for weights, and their online reservation systems works very well. I’ve never had an issue booking a spot, even when I do it last minute.

I have been a client for almost 3 years and can only speak highly of MX3. It is a small business owned by competent and kind partners. The key concept that makes this gym stand out from all the others is the ability to book/reserve a small (but complete) workout private station. You won't have to share the equipment with anyone, and you can share the station with a friend or partner (if you want). The staff is professional and fun, the gyms are very well equipped, clean and dog friendly.

I want to be clear that this review is not about the gym’s equipment or facilities, which are perfectly fine. This is specifically regarding a negative experience with a female trainer here. I started training with her while managing a chronic injury and was very transparent about my need to avoid heavy loading for safety reasons. Unfortunately, she completely ignored my physical boundaries and repeatedly pushed for heavy weights that put me at risk. Her approach is incredibly discouraging and, frankly, mean-spirited. When I refused to compromise my health, she told me I “wasn’t fit for training.” It felt as though she treats every client like a professional athlete and lacks the basic empathy to work with regular people. A trainer’s job is to adapt and motivate, but her communication was belittling and harsh. f you are looking for a coach who respects your physical safety and maintains a professional, supportive attitude, I would suggest avoiding this specific trainer.
