I’ve been going to Karma since 2023 and it’s truly become my favorite studio. They offer Hot Yoga, Hot Mat Pilates, and Hot HIIT, so there’s something for every mood and movement style. The instructors and front desk employees are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and their playlists are a huge highlight - a mix of EDM, pop, and hip hop that makes every class feel like a workout and a vibe. I also love that you can select your own spot in advance, and the studio is thoughtfully spaced out. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a challenging, high-energy workout in a welcoming environment!

I’ve been to most of the local yoga studios and karma is my favorite. The power flow classes have a good balance of stretch and workout. Having assigned mat spots is a big plus for me. At more crowded studios like Yoga Flow I tend to feel like others are in my personal space. Other reviewers mention the front desk but I’ve not had any issues. They’re friendly imo.

I do love this studio’s classes but HOLY COW the new studio is such a downgrade!!! It’s really disappointing. Gross muggy small and smelly. Nowhere to sit if you need to take shoes on and off. I was truly baffled when I walked into the new studio. If there is a fitness studio in SF that is spacious and clean and CAN ACTUALLY SURVIVE, can someone please let me know? ☹️

I struggled to get consistent responses from the business owner for 2 weeks via DMs and gave up trying after no responses for an entire week. They refer to themselves being a struggling small business, yet replies from the owner took at least 2 days and communication felt very unprofessional. This left a poor impression on their ability to handle business overall and I’d encourage more timely communication since it reflects on your capabilities as a whole.

Unfortunate how much business-oriented Karma turned out to be. I have been a member for almost 4 years, if not more. Last year I bought passes that were on sale. I was not able to use all my passes last year a they unilaterally cancelled some classes they had available during December. So it’s ok for them to cancel classes but it’s not ok for a customer to ask to extend the expiration date of my current passes due to medical reasons (pregnancy). I sent an email, asked for an extension, Karma took almost 3 weeks to respond just to say the following: “Thank you for your email. Unfortunately, since these class packages were purchased at a special rate (8 for $80 or $10/class), we are unable to extend the expiration date. Sorry about that!” -Sorry about that!” Incredible how Karma actually considers (NOT) their customers and their medical reasons, selling this yoga studio as a women empowerment center, not allowing to extend a simple expiration due to something so natural to women (BIRTH). Under this context, even more surprising not to offer any other option other than staying with your subscription money. Sadly I will have to report this to the competent public agencies, since Karma is not transparent: there is a clear information asymmetry, which we all know what that means in business. So sad to see the studio I thought was really a cool safe space turned out to be a just business, unaware of the meaning of Karma.
