About

Inner Space SF offers classical hatha yoga instruction in San Francisco, specializing in authentic practices passed down from ancient traditions rather than following modern trends. The studio features two highly trained instructors, Arti Bhoge and Yamini Liebman, both certified through Isha Teacher Training with over 1,750 hours of accredited training. Their coaching style emphasizes personalized attention, with instructors accommodating individual needs including mobility issues and offering home visits when necessary. The studio itself provides a warm, calming environment intentionally designed for deep reflection and healing, with offerings that include meditation sessions and classical yoga asanas. Members describe the space as more than just a yoga center, noting it fosters a community rooted in authenticity, compassion, and conscious growth where ancient wisdom integrates seamlessly into daily life. The philosophy of 'Nurture the Self, Strengthen the Collective' creates a genuine sense of togetherness and shared healing, with gatherings that feel like homecomings among heart centered people. Students appreciate how the practice doesn't just strengthen the body but opens the heart and awakens the soul, providing both accessible guidance for beginners and profound depth for experienced practitioners. The instructors hold space with grace, allowing each student to journey inward while feeling supported and seen, with teachings that help practitioners realign with their higher self and step into their power with clarity and calm.

I have practiced yoga in many studios and by myself over the past 30 years, but my experience with Arti and Inner Space has by far been the best for me personally. I reached out to them regarding my interest in learing Surya Kriya. Arti responded quickly, heard my needs clearly, and was able to offer me exactly what I truly needed to start my journey with Classical Hatha Yoga. My whole yoga world was turned on its head in just 2 days and now I cannot settle for anything less than the graceful, humble, and powerful practices that they offer. A true gift passed down in its pure form from the first yogi. Thank you so much!

I was extremely fortunate to have had the pleasure of learning Yoga from Arti. Since, I have a mobility issue, Arti was not only accommodating in coming to my home, but easily modified her teachings to my needs. I was able to feel a sense of accomplishment thanks to Arti's professionalism, knowledge and expertise. Arti is a gifted teacher, who has a deep understanding of the physical, mental and spiritual benefits of Yoga. Beyond Arti's technical abilities, she is a empathetic, compassionate and inspiring teacher. She truly embodies the values of Yoga. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to have Arti come into my life, and study from her.

I've had multiple opportunities to work with Arti, one of the two highly trained teachers at InnerSpace. She has helped me improve in my practices a ton, and has also taught my Mom, who had no previous exposure to classical hatha yoga, a powerful practice she has done every day since. I trust anyone in my life to learn from Arti. She does a great job and is incredibly dedicated to her work!

It’s so rare to have two Hatha Yoga teachers who embody and exemplify the spirit of the practice they teach. It’s really a blessing they’ve decided to open a studio to teach this ancient classical practice. It stands out as not chasing the modern trends but maintaining the original tradition alive. I strongly recommend all to be here!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Inner Space SF and the incredible energy Arti brings to this sacred space. From the moment I first walked through the doors, I felt a deep sense of peace and belonging—something rare and truly special in the hustle of modern life. Inner Space SF is more than just a yoga center; it is a community rooted in authenticity, compassion, and conscious growth. Every class, every breath, and every moment spent here feels intentionally designed to bring you home to yourself. Arti, with her luminous presence and deep knowledge of classical yoga, has cultivated a space where ancient wisdom seamlessly integrates into daily life. Her teachings don’t just strengthen the body—they open the heart and awaken the soul. You can feel her passion and dedication in every class. She holds space with such grace, allowing each student to journey inward while still feeling supported and seen. Whether you're new to yoga or have been practicing for years, you'll find her guidance both accessible and profound. What I appreciate most is how Inner Space SF embodies the philosophy: Nurture the Self, Strengthen the Collective. There’s a true sense of togetherness and shared healing here. It’s not just about individual transformation—it’s about community elevation. I’ve met some of the most genuine, heart-centered people through the offerings here, and each gathering feels like a homecoming. The studio itself is warm, calming, and thoughtfully designed to encourage deep reflection and healing. From meditation sessions to classical yoga asanas, each practice feels like a gift—an invitation to realign with your higher self and step into your power with clarity and calm. Thank you to the teachers, for your devotion, your authenticity, and your radiant heart. Inner Space SF is a gem in the SF area, and I am endlessly grateful to have found it. If you're seeking a deeper connection to yourself and to something greater, this is the place to be. Inner peace begins here.
