I've been taking classes at Folk Yoga for almost 2 months now, and I love every minute of it. Folk Yoga was the first place I've ever taken a yoga class in my life, and I felt incredibly nervous being fairly new to the practice, but I've learned that the instructors here do a great job at making everyone feel welcome and able in their bodies to do yoga. All instructors I've had so far do a great job at making the space feel comfortable and in motivating me to push myself without hurting myself. I even decided to take a yoga 101 course with Patti, and it was great to hear her experiences in yoga and to know the correct ways to accomplish certain poses.

I am an exercise-oholic, but now 70 years old. I signed up for a Yin yoga class because I did not want to be overwhelmed. The instructor, Erica, had extraordinary sensitivity, knowledge, and finesse. Included herself as someone who needs to use a block in this situation, etc. I had absolutely no problem keeping up. But I also felt that the benefit of the yoga was as much as I have ever experienced in hundreds of yoga classes. I also found the vibration of the room and the people harmonious and beautiful. I recommend Folk Yoga.

Aside from the excellent teachers and staff, the space itself has a very welcoming and cozy vibe, with 3 floors of studios situated in an older house on Divis. The gated entrance is lush and garden-like —- making for a very inviting and calming arrival!

I was referred to Folk Yoga by Audrey and then just so happens that it was located 3 blocks from where I was visiting, SCORE! The Yoga is amazing. I really love Catherine at the front desk; she makes a point to welcome me, by name, to each class. I am 8 classes in to my first month membership and honestly every class has been great. I have found my Yoga Home in SF.

I love this studio. I was a regular Urban Flow student, but when they folded I was lost for many years and just couldn’t find a studio and stopped practicing (sadly). I found Folk over the summer after having seen it countless times either walking the dogs or waiting for Chipotle. I recently started going to mission Folk and love the small studio vibe. Mostly I do online classes due to time restraints and dog care. Platform is solid snd only once did no class ever appear.
