About

Crunch Fitness in San Francisco's Marina/Cow Hollow/Russian Hill area occupies a distinctive historic theater space, creating a grand ambiance that members consistently praise. The gym offers comprehensive workout facilities across multiple levels, with the main floor housing most equipment, a lower floor dedicated to classes like spin and yoga, and a balcony area containing locker rooms and showers. While this location lacks amenities like pools or saunas found at larger Crunch Fitness branches, it compensates with a diverse crowd, minimal wait times for machines, and a clean environment featuring a large screen television. The connected restaurant next door and proximity to public transportation, small stores, restaurants, and cafes add to the convenience of this urban fitness center.

Small location without a pool or sauna or amenities often seen at larger Crunch Fitness locations but this location is very unique because it is house in an old theater which makes the inferior of the location a grand sight to see. The staff is very helpful, energetic, and kind. There is a balcony area where the locker room and showers are located. A lower floor which hosts workout classes and the main floor has most of the workout equipment. Great diverse croud. Large screen television. Restaurant next door connected. Lots of public transportation. Okay parking and near many small stores, Restaurants, and cafes. Didn't see any druggies or homeless people. Cool location area of San Francisco.

Great club, minimal crowd (never had to wait for a machine or rack), clean with tons of equipment! Also the ambiance is top tier!!! Best gym in the Marina/Cow Hollow/Russian Hill area by far.

Just joined a few weeks ago, absolutely love this gym. For cheaper than prices at other gyms you can get access to city-wide crunch fitness’s, classes like spin and yoga, and access to great trainer alike Lyndsay. Did a PT session with her to work on shoulders and hips, and ended the session being able to squat deeper than ever and do a power clean for the first time in my 25 years of life. Can’t recommend the gym and Lyndsay enough!

I wish I could give them zero stars!! I just moved to the city about two weeks ago and wanted to try out gyms in my new area. I saw on their website that they do a free one-day guest pass which I thought was great because I was fully planning on getting a membership after checking it out. I walk in and show the front desk guys my guest pass & first-off they kinda laugh in my face for no reason and point me to the gal that was also there. Then they explained that they needed me to show a lease agreement or my ID with my new SF address on it. I just moved so I didn't change my address on my license just yet & I rent-out a room so my name is not on a lease currently. I showed them my Zelle/rent money I sent to my landlord and offered to show my parking permit I have to park monthly in a North Beach garage. I also gave many other options to prove I lived there. They treated me as a joke and I just think that having no flexibility for these things is so ridiculous. I work in customer service/in a manager position myself and would never treat potential customers this way. I never write reviews but have truly never experienced something like this before.

This location allows the men in their gym to threaten women with little to no consequences. It creates an unsafe environment and opens the door for even more antagonistic behavior. If you are looking for a gym that promotes safety for its members, I would look elsewhere. There are enough gyms nearby to not have to deal with added safety concerns.
