Hard to say what hasn't been said, Allen is extremely knowledgeable, detail oriented, friendly, professional, and an excellent communicator. I haven't had another bike fit before so I don't have much frame of reference comparing to other bike fitters, but I can say I had an excellent experience and my bike feels vastly more comfortable and efficient than before. Thanks Allen!

I’ve had bike fits with Allen four times now—for three different bikes—and every single one has been amazing. What really sets Allen apart is his background as a physical therapist. Unlike many fitters I’ve experienced (especially some in Taiwan) who mainly rely on numbers or tools like Retül, Allen focuses deeply on how your body actually moves and feels on the bike. He pays close attention to the quality of your pedal stroke, your muscle engagement, and your comfort through the entire motion. Each session starts with a thorough physical assessment—checking mobility, leg length, and general body condition. From there, he puts you on the bike and works through multiple rounds of adjustments, refining the position each time based on how you feel until everything clicks. Another thing I really appreciate is that Allen fits you for where you are right now—your current fitness level, flexibility, and goals. As cyclists, these things constantly change, and Alan always takes that into account to make sure your setup supports your riding today, not just in theory. On top of that, he’s just a genuinely great person to talk to. Every fit feels like a conversation about becoming a better rider, not just a mechanical process. Thanks a lot, Allen—I’ll definitely be back again next time!

Allen did a pre-purchase bike fit for me. I have a chronic hip injury, and on my old bike any sort of sustained climbing or ride longer than 20miles was a process of fighting through pain and then spending the next week rehabilitating my hip. Allen had a thorough understanding of the biomechanics underpinning my pain. The new bike built to Allen's specification is amazing, fits me perfectly, and I can climb Mt Tam without struggling through pain. Highly recommend his services to anyone looking for a bike fit.

Just got my bike fit yesterday. I was very impressed by Allan's thoroughness and a "physical therapy" approach. A lot of body, strength, and mobility evaluation. He immediately surfaced a number of issues that other physical therapists had never surface (one longer leg, dramatically wide feet for the length). I'm a bit older (but not old ... ha ha) and have had back surgery in the past. So been riding with a lot of pain last several years and just looking to be able to stay on the bike longer with less or no pain. Allan made a lot of tweaks that go against conventional "comfort" fitting (higher stack, shorter reach, etc.). Did my first post fit ride today (albeit short) and most of my back pain didn't show up in the same way as literally two days before but most importantly - I felt like I unlocked a ton of power. Almost like I went from riding with 1.5 legs to 2 legs. That was very dramatic. Highly recommend Club Velo.

Allen is really meticulous and informative. I recommend if you are buying a bike to first get yourself fitted for measurements and then zero in on the bike that works for you. Or order a custom bike. It’s well worth the effort to reach out and do a bike fit. And once you get the bike you can return to do a finesse fit. He also has shoes and crank arms and saddle you can purchase after or during your fit. This is a strong recommendation.
