I've had one class with Arlene and I was impressed with her style of teaching Pilates utilizing flow and intention. It almost felt like a yoga class in that way and taught me how beautiful and empowering Pilates/movement could be. Don't come to this studio if you're looking for a high energy workout class; this studio teaches Pilates in its purest form.

Today’s class was great for me. A total beginner, I have had a few classes, but Tara gave me some major necessary instruction that forms the base on which to build which is the breathing. It was hard but I did it and I loved her! Thank you- Suzanne

I absolutely love Pilates of San Diego! I have been to several different studios in San Diego and feel that the teachers here are by far the best. They’re all very skilled in the most important aspects of Pilates, controlled and focused movement, and execution of technique. I started traditional equipment and mat Pilates back in 2001, and fell in love with reformers when they came out, so I have some experience with Pilates. The best thing is that there is always room to grow and improve with Pilates, including deepening of technique and I really feel you get that at Pilates of SD. From beginner level and on, Ania and her crew are excellent at helping each person hone in on not only where they can improve but how well they are improving. I love the intimate size of the class with only 6 reformers in the studio it has allowed for comfort and personal attention during class and beyond, as they offer private and semi private sessions too. Literally cannot say enough great things about Pilates of SD!

Wow, this pilates studio is absolutely amazing! I was an absolute beginner when I started doing private sessions with Irene. From Day 1, she has always been super supportive and encouraging, making me feel very comfortable right away. She is incredibly knowledgeable of the human body, I feel like I learn something new every week. Her workouts are always fun and creative, and the stretches, AMAZING. (: I still remember walking out of my first session feeling super rejuvenated. I have been doing it for a few months now and can honestly say it has made a huge difference, both physically and mentally. The studio is also super cute, clean, and has great equipment. I would highly recommend this studio and Irene, especially for beginners!

Tried this place on a recent trip to SD and fell in love with it. I do reformer pilates pretty regularly but this class still kicked my butt and challenged me in the right way. Shayna was my instructor and you can just tell she’s super experienced. I wish I lived here so I could go more often but would certainly be back on my next visit to SD
