Metroflex Gym Miramar

Dropped into the gym while in town for work. While embodies that "old school" gym in both layout and size, really loved my experience. Bathrooms were super clean. And even though the gym was 80% men, it's a place where the women who were working out seemed to feel safe and take up space. And, who says powerlifters in different federations can't get along (me: USAPL, them: USPA)? Loved the welcoming atmosphere and the emotional support spotting and fist bumps from Jeffrey and Elijah. Not only will I make sure I use this gym again for a drop in when I am here for work, but I will also recommend it to other co-workers as well.

It’s he greatest gym in San Diego, I was hesitant to rate it because I wanted to gate keep it. I’ve been coming to metro for a more than a year and it’s amazing. Machines are always taken care of and the 24/7 access is great.

Super easy to sign up and the staff takes care of military members. Love that it’s 24/7 access, and the gym has everything you could ever need for serious training. Metroflex Mira Mesa is the real deal. Thank you Bub for helping me sign up!

I’ve been going here for a while now and really like it. It’s straightforward, no-frills, and super affordable. The space is perfect, and there’s always a good mix of equipment. It does get slammed between 5 and 7 p.m., though due to rush hour. If you can hit it earlier or later, it’s way more chill. Thanks to the Metroflex team for making this a dope, inviting space!

Me and my wife came here for a few months when we moved out to San Diego in December. Small gym but had MOST of the equipment we needed. It’s cold in there literally all the time and they leave garages open when it’s cold so make sure you bring a hoodie. We decided to leave after a few months because the staff and folks who work there were definitely giving discriminatory vibes so we left. I didn’t cancel my membership because I work late and one day I might want to get cardio in. That day came yesterday 12/13 and it was a guy in the front desk that works in the later hours that I recognized from before we left that expressed the same bigotry as when we first joined. if you don’t look like the people that go there or friends with them & you look like me. Don’t go to this gym
