About

Hardcore Fitness Miramar offers a CrossFit and general gym training environment supported by custom-designed equipment and innovative systems like the visual workout guidance i.L.I.F.T. and a band system for scalable workouts. Members have access to a nutrition app as part of their membership. The gym is noted for its dedicated coaching staff, with trainers like Jesse, Maksil, Mathew, and Maya receiving specific praise for their ability to motivate, adjust workouts for injuries, and create life-changing fitness journeys for both new and long-term members.

reviewsWhat Members Say

Members frequently praise specific trainers by name, such as Jesse, Maksil, Mathew, and Maya, for being motivating, knowledgeable, and adaptable to injuries, crediting them with transformative fitness results and a great workout atmosphere. They describe a strong, supportive community, especially in early morning classes, that helps them stay committed. However, several long-term members report serious concerns about sudden, selective membership price increases with very short notice, poor communication during cancellations, and inconsistent enforcement of gym rules. They also note operational issues like equipment in need of repair, cleanliness concerns in certain areas, and a feeling that the original Hardcore class culture has been diluted.

Been training for 6 months now and it’s a life changing experience for me, was never dedicated to working out as I am now, and I enjoy it, thanks to trainer Jesse! Thanks again Jesse and hardcore fitness for being welcoming and for helping me start this journey

Always a great workout when Maksil or Mathew are around! The other trainers are great as well, but Maksil and Mathew do everything possible to push to me to the max while working out and adjust anything regarding my injuries.

Always such a great workout when we get Trainer Maya!! Love our gym-fam so much. I’m in the best shape of my life even after two kids my youngest is only 1.5 years old! Lifting has done more for my body than any amount of copious cardio I used to kill myself with!

I was a member of this gym since 2020 and referred multiple people over the years. For a long time, it operated as a supportive, community-driven space, which makes this experience particularly disappointing. The gym recently implemented a rate increase and provided only five days’ notice to respond. There was no consideration for long-term members and no flexibility offered during the transition. The notice was not sent to all members—only select individuals. Some members paying lower rates were not notified at all. This selective communication raised serious concerns about fairness and consistency. After I replied asking about next steps or alternatives, my membership was cancelled outright—despite having just been charged a $15 freeze fee. I was not offered the option to remain on freeze, given a transition period, or provided any attempt at resolution. Following the cancellation, I was blocked from the gym’s public Instagram and Facebook pages. While removal from a private, members-only group would be understandable, blocking a former member from public platforms is excessive and unprofessional. Over time, I also observed operational issues, including overworked trainers and inconsistent rule enforcement. For example, I received direct and public communication for arriving late, while other members continued to arrive late without similar follow-up. Selective enforcement undermines trust and professionalism. Given the length of my membership and the referrals I brought in, I expected a respectful and neutral departure. The way this situation was handled reflects a clear shift away from the professionalism this gym once demonstrated. I’m sharing this so potential members—especially long-term ones—can make informed decisions about how pricing changes, communication, and cancellations are handled.

I wanted to share my experience and feedback as a long-time member of Hardcore Fitness Miramar. When I first joined Hardcore, I truly loved the trainers, and the community along the way. I was one of the very first members at the Miramar location when everything was brand new. I even stayed committed during COVID, working out outside under tents, because I believed in the gym and the people. When I joined, my membership was at a specific rate and included a free 60-day challenge, with opportunities for discounts when referring others. I’ve now been a member for 7 years. I recently froze my account temporarily due to work—not permanently—until I received an email, 26 days into the freeze, stating my membership would be increasing $50.00 additionally. I was given only five days to respond. There are many members paying different rates and some less than I was and they did not get the increase, yet for some reason my long-standing discounts were removed entirely. After 7 years, it feels like loyalty no longer matters. What makes this especially difficult is that the gym still has several areas that need attention. Some equipment needs repair or replacement, the turf requires deep cleaning, and the fight camp room is often dusty and rarely cleaned. I’ve consistently provided feedback in hopes of improvement, but very little has changed. Despite this, I continued showing up because I genuinely loved the 5 a.m. crew and the motivation we shared. Additionally, this location is the only one that has moved far away from true Hardcore culture. Other types of classes have been added in an effort to keep the doors open, while actual Hardcore classes that current members are paying for have been cut back. On top of that, challenges and personal training are always an extra cost beyond the monthly membership, which adds up quickly. While the trainers were generally good, there has been significant turnover, and the Hardcore that once existed at this location no longer feels the same. It’s disappointing that membership fees increased suddenly for some of us without any real consideration for tenure or loyalty. While I believe this location may eventually close, I know for certain that I won’t be returning. I wanted to share this honestly, as someone who truly cared about this gym and community for many years.
