I’ve had a really great experience with Chuze Fitness. The facility is consistently clean, well-maintained, and welcoming, which makes a big difference in staying motivated and comfortable while working out. The equipment is modern, plentiful, and rarely out of service, so it’s easy to get through a full workout without long wait times, even during busier hours. One of the standout aspects is the atmosphere. The environment feels friendly and inclusive, whether you’re a beginner or someone who’s been working out for years. The staff are approachable, helpful, and always quick to answer questions or offer assistance when needed. You can tell they genuinely care about members having a positive experience. I also appreciate the variety of amenities and classes available. From cardio and strength equipment to group fitness options, there’s something for everyone. The value for the membership price is excellent compared to many other gyms. Overall, Chuze Fitness provides a clean, supportive, and well-equipped space that makes it easier to stay consistent and enjoy the process of working toward your health and fitness goals. Highly recommend!

The staff at Chuze Fitness went above and beyond for me. They were patient, friendly, and actually took the time to help me with everything I needed. You can tell they really care about the members here. Super grateful for how supportive they were — definitely the best gym experience I’ve had

Super chilled and well equipped gym. The amount of floor space is impressive, the gym is huge and has pretty much every machine you would need. It's also very well priced compared to other gyms which is a bonus. I haven't had a bad interaction in the gym, the gym users are decent and the staff are very good. Helpful, friendly and always say hello to you. There are lockers for your bags, massage chairs to relax, traditional and infrared sauna rooms and a few tanning booths. The parking situation isn't bad either, there is loads of parking at the front by the shops, on the street and at the rear of the gym. The ONLY minor downside is that the dumbbells are maxed at 75lbs, otherwise no other complaints!

Have had a great experience so far at this Gym. Staff is very professional (such as Wrenn), keeps the place clean, and is happy to help. Recently signed up to do some training thanks to Vivienne who was very knowledgeable and friendly. To anyone looking to get help with their fitness goals would highly recommend Vivienne and the rest of the staff here!

I’ve been driving from downtown to Chuze Fitness in Mission Valley for years — not because it’s convenient, not because it’s cheap, and not because I feel culturally aligned — but because the hydro massage chairs and zero-gravity units (when they work) materially help manage a documented ADA disability. There is one zero-gravity chair that functions properly when it functions. When it does, it stabilizes my spine and nervous system. The others frequently malfunction. I’ve documented this. I’ve raised it politely, in writing, multiple times. The annual fee renews. Access continues. Friction continues. Let me state something plainly: I do not have a Baphomet tattoo on my neck. I do not have a piercing on my nose. That is not insult — it is contrast. The environment carries a specific aesthetic and tone. I do not mirror it. Difference, however, should not translate into differential treatment. Over time, interactions with three specific staff members developed into a recurring pattern — elongated wait times, passive-aggressive tone, procedural tightening after complaints were raised. For years, the flow was simple: I arrived, used the medically relevant equipment, and left. No disruption. No special treatment. After submitting documented concerns about equipment reliability and staff conduct, I am now being told to “reset expectations” and follow newly emphasized procedures that were not previously enforced in the same way. When someone with a disability raises operational concerns and the response is increased friction rather than accommodation, timing matters. There is no comparable hydro/zero-gravity configuration near downtown. National City is not a viable alternative for me; I do not feel safe there. So I continue driving to Mission Valley — because I need the machines. I do not want conflict. I want neutral access. I want functioning equipment. I want ADA-compliant treatment. Patterns matter.
