Cool, no-frills gym. I was there on a weekend and a weekday while on vacation and it was never super busy which I like. Machines are all working, clean and no squeaking. There are lots of hand towels and separate towels to just wipe down the machines. There’s plenty of free weights, but I didn’t have a chance to take photos of that area. This gym can accommodate someone that is looking to just do some cardio and light weights, or even the biggest of muscle men. I just walked over from the hotel I was staying at, but I did see plenty of side street parking. The gym is located INSIDE an older brick building and there is a Bank Of America sign on it. Since my group and I were guests for a few days, the front desk had to check us in and they did so efficiently and with a smile. Not sure what they charge monthly but as a guest, I appreciated the cleanliness and how nice everyone was, whether working there or working out.

I want to give a huge thank you to the team at Balanced Fitness. This gym is outstanding — it has absolutely everything you need to train properly. The staff are exceptional: always friendly, always supportive, and always ready to help with any issue, big or small. The community is just as impressive — somehow, they’ve built a membership of genuinely good people, which makes the atmosphere second to none. I’ve trained in countless gyms over the years, and Balanced Fitness is the one I kept going back to. It’s the one I can recommend above all others. Even though I don’t live in San Diego anymore, I’d still tell anyone living there — or even just visiting — to choose Balanced Fitness. Without a doubt, it’s the best training environment I’ve ever experienced in the city. Thank you to the whole team for everything.

What an incredible experience! I took the Brazilian Sculpture Dance class with Iara and I am still vibrating from the energy. Iara is absolutely amazing, she has this unique, magnetic presence that makes you feel completely comfortable, confident, and free to express yourself. Her energy is uplifting, inspiring, and so empowering. The space itself is beautiful, welcoming, and full of great vibes. I left feeling motivated, alive, and already excited to come back every Saturday for her class. Such a wonderful community. Highly recommend!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Brazilian Sculpt Dance – Saturday Morning at Balanced Gym I absolutely loved this class! I walked out feeling recharged, sweaty, happy, and so empowered. The energy in the room is amazing — surrounded by beautiful, strong women who lift each other up. The moves are fun, the music is incredible, and Iara, instructor creates such a positive and motivating vibe - she is next level charismatic and inspiring! If you’re looking for a class that boosts your mood, tones your body, and makes you feel confident and alive, this is it. Can’t wait to go back next Saturday! 💃✨

I’ve been taking Iara’s Brazilian Sculpt Dance classes for over two years, and I can honestly say they’ve transformed me from the inside out. Her classes are this perfect fusion of choreography, Brazilian dance movements, functional training, cardio, and pure joy. It’s the kind of workout that makes you forget you’re actually working out. You sweat, you laugh, you feel sexy, strong, and completely alive. But what truly sets this class apart is Iara herself. Her energy is magnetic: she motivates you, lifts you up, and somehow gives you that extra dopamine you didn’t even know you needed. Every class feels like a therapy session: a mix of movement, release, empowerment, and community. If you want something fun, challenging, and deeply soul-nourishing, I can’t recommend Iara’s class enough. It has become one of the best parts of my week and a big part of my personal journey back to myself. I truly hope more Brazilian Sculpt Dance classes are added to the schedule — once you experience it, you’ll want as many as you can get.
