Christine at the front desk of 24 Hour Fitness Mission Valley is an absolute standout and a true asset to the gym. She is always smiling, warm, and welcoming, and consistently provides exceptional customer service. Every time I walk in, she makes me feel genuinely happy to be there and remembered, which sets such a positive tone for my entire workout. Her friendly attitude, professionalism, and enthusiasm do not go unnoticed—Christine clearly cares about members and goes above and beyond to create an inviting and supportive environment. This location is far better than most, and its thanks to the amazing staff here. Front desk is always available and friendly, machine that are broken are fixed in a timely manner, and the facility cleanliness is superb. I personally give thanks to Max for always doing his part in cleaning the facility; he goes above and beyond everytime I come here. Other locations, even super sports, will go months without a piece of equipment being fixed/replaced, dust and dirt accumulated over the years that you can tell have not been cleaned for years, even open drains and black mold in locker rooms as health and safety hazards that im surprised have not caused violations and shut downs. 24 Hour Fitness has always spent the bare minimum on their facilities and it shows. This facility is lucky to have great dedicated staff. My only critique is they likely don't get a sufficient budget from the coropration to hire ample staff and upkeep/update equipment. If 24 Hour Fitness invested in these things they would easily have 5star reviews.

Here is what’s wrong with this Gym To many times an employee doesn’t show up To open the gym. The equipment stays broken for too long Air conditioning is barely used, even on really hot days. The men’s locker room/ Bathroom is so out dated often there is only 1 sink and hand dryer to use. The shower curtain are torn and holding on by thread. The bathroom stinks like piss and a majority of the time you’re stand in piss. Most of the time the staff is great, the only complaint is they can be nose deep into their phone and ignore you.

Im considering leaving my 24 hr fitness membership behind as id rather join another local gym that is up to standard than travel out to find a better suited 24 facility which can be far but this one is atrocious. I have written 2 complaints about how bad the bathroom/shower situation is and nothing is done like really you have each person paying good money to be there and you cant even provide shower curtains they are ridiculous looks like a single curtain that was cut up in smaller slivers so there's enough to go around everytime I go there I curse the gym for putting me through the experience of having to see some other often older gym member butt ass naked as I know its a locker room but its completely unnecessary and outdated please fix this!!!people deserve the right to a nice private shower after a workout.if this issue is not solved ill have no other option that to take my money somewhere else

I've gone to this gym for a long time. I have also worked out at other clubs when I can. There are many other BETTER and CLEANER clubs where ALL the machines WORK. This club is a problem, pure and simple. It starts with the manager. He simply doesn't care. He will lie to your face and tell you he'll get a problem fixed and then ignores it. At any given time, at least 25% of the aerobic machines are out of order, often more. Some have been out of order for as long as a year. The locker rooms are nothing short of gross. The water faucets haven't worked in at least a year. There is often debris on the floors and standing water in the toilet areas. No other 24 hour fitness in the area is this bad. Get a new manager, PLEASE. Someone who cares about delivering a quality gym.
