reviewsWhat Members Say
Members praise the friendly and attentive staff, specifically mentioning GM Wayne and Phil for their excellent service. They appreciate the abundance of equipment that minimizes wait times, including multiple squat racks, benches, and duplicate dumbbells. Concerns include broken equipment that remains unrepaired for months, discomfort for some female members who feel stared at, and isolated complaints about veteran policy implementation. The gym is generally less crowded than other locations except during weekday evening peak hours.

Lots of amazing improvements in this location. Gym is clean, easy to navigate, and staff are tentative to repairs. You can tell the staff here take pride in their roles. GM Wayne is the literal best!!!

Moved back to San Diego and needed a new gym membership. Tried this location on a 3 day trial and Phil was really nice and accommodating. Unlike other gyms, this location isn’t really busy after normal work hours, which is nice. The only thing lacking are smaller plates. I eventually signed up through phone which didn’t credit Phil as the person who championed me into getting a membership. Phil was really nice and deserves the credit — I just made the mistake of signing up through phone at another location

Employees are super nice... But if you are a woman, you will constantly get starred at (even if you tuck in to a corner). And if you are a woman who actually has arm muscles, in the women's dressing room, there is always one woman who goes to the employees and tries to report a man in the locker room. It's a convenient place to get a work out and shower, but the customers are obviously disrespectful.

2025 Update: Fix your broken equipment! Currently 5 of the cable/cablecross machines are broken. That hip adductor machine has been red tagged since August. Original review: One of the better 24hr in the area, no frills, older equipment. Lots of duplicate dumbbells and in-between weights so you’re usually not stuck waiting. There’s like 8 squat racks in all, lots of benches. The only time I’d avoid is 5-6pm weekdays. Same for parking, not full other than at that time. Even then it’s better than the other 24hr locations. Friendly staff, decent showers and locker room. Other locations I always find myself waiting on certain machines or missing dumbbells, which sucks if you’re trying to stick to a routine

**NOT VETERAN FRIENDLY** Denied a free pass for being a military member, what a ridiculous policy that singles out veterans. I am not stationed in the local area, apparently I'm guilty of being a 20+ year veteran though. When I retire, I will likely join a gym and I assure you it will NOT be 24 Hour Fitness. This company and location should be ashamed to treat veterans this way, I encourage veterans to bring your business elsewhere and avoid 24 Hour Fitness. Join Planet Fitness, a company that appreciates veterans and doesn't look down our service.
