When our 15 year old comp dancer was experiencing knee pain we went looking for therapy specifically geared towards dancers. We were fortunate to find Leah with Performance Pilates. The experience that Leah has of being a dancer herself, allows for a formulated and specific understanding of her client's needs. The adjustments, strength building, and correction of form that were offered made a huge difference in a short amount of time. Her knowledge of a dancer's body, movement, demands, and terminology made us confident and at ease. We appreciated that the focus on her treatment was targeted specifically for our dancers' needs. Hands down - highly recommend.

Our 14-year-old daughter is a ballet dancer who came to Leah and Brooke while recovering from a stress fracture. As parents, we were nervous about how she would regain her strength and confidence, but Leah and Brooke immediately put us at ease. They took the time to truly listen, carefully assess her situation, and design a thoughtful plan that focused on strengthening her feet and legs. Week by week, we’ve watched her grow stronger, not only physically but also in her confidence. She’s learning how to move with more awareness, and she’s excited to return to ballet with a stronger foundation than before. We are so grateful for Leah and Brooke’s dedication and kindness. Their expertise, encouragement, and personal attention have made this recovery journey a positive and hopeful experience. Performance Pilates has truly been a blessing for our family.

From day 1 I knew that Leah Bueno was going to challenge and support me toward my goal of regular physical activity without the recurring cycle of injury and pain. Leah's approach offered me new knowledge of how my own body works during physical activity and how to respond when my body is giving me clues about how best to move "now". Working with Leah has provided me with new tools to stay active, build fitness, return to fun activities of daily life, and even to naturally improve my overall health measures. I highly recommend Leah Bueno at Performance Pilates and Rehab!

I have been working with Leah almost weekly for over seven years—she has been the biggest support in helping me manage pain and get stronger despite it. Leah was an incredible teacher when we first started, but her commitment to learning and growing her skills and professional toolbox over the years is not only inspiring but also invaluable in how she supports the health and function of my body. I highly recommend working with Leah for any rehab needs—her use of thoughtful and creative Pilates programming, combined with manual therapy when needed, leaves me feeling so good after every session.

Over the last eight years, Leah as led my mat Pilates classes, Reformer classes, and for the last two years, private sessions all designed to strengthen and build my muscles and work on balance. In every case she monitors body mechanics to target the right muscles, address correct alignment, build strength and instruct on how to avoid injury. What she teaches me transfers to everyday life when I "channel" her regarding standing, sitting, walking and climbing stairs. Leah has extensive knowledge of the body far beyond her earlier career as a professional dancer. Many people come to her for rehabilitation work, whether professional dancers or those seeking help following joint replacement, or those of us who want to remain strong and fit while minimizing further damage to aging joints. Leah is constantly working hard to learn more in order to offer even more advanced work for her clients and is now studying Osteopathy and working toward certification in that field. I love working with Leah as do many of my friends. There are a number of other things I would give up before I'd give up working with her. She is a delight to work with, always kind and helpful but never losing site of her goal of making me stronger. I must say, I'm strong and flexible at age 78 and still going strong in large part, thanks to Leah Bueno.
