reviewsWhat Members Say
Members describe a gym with essential equipment including dumbbells up to 150 pounds and a sauna, but note the free weight area can become crowded with just a few people. Several reviews express frustration with management practices, including billing issues, unresponsive communication, and equipment maintenance problems like broken treadmills and cable machines. Some long term members feel the gym has declined, mentioning replacement of commercial grade equipment with lower quality alternatives and a loss of the old school atmosphere. Positive experiences highlight the welcoming environment for beginners and families, with childcare included in memberships.

I started my fitness journey almost a year ago and honestly I can say I love fitness system! Being a mom they make it easy to workout with child care included in their memberships!! And everyone is so welcoming! (Side note being able to workout and get a view of giraffes is amazing)

I will say they were open. My gym closed on New Year's Eve. This place has pretty much everything you need. Older equipment, but everything was still heavy. The free weight area (my playground) was skimpy. If more than 4 people... it could get crowded. The dumbells went to 150 which is nice. The plates were kinda scattered, so I had to walk around a bit to get what I needed. Great Place to lift, if its not busy, but I can see how it would be tough if it were busy. The sauna was ok, didn't seem to get as hot as mine, but I got sweaty pre-workout. Id say, it's 5 star for a beginner, 1-2 days a week-er, but Id find it frustrating since I go everyday

now where to do i start?! joes fitness wow wow wow one of the most immature incompetent gym owners ive ever come across. it’s clear to anyone that has a conversation with him he’s still salty about the whole fitness system incident (get over it joe). then when it comes to being a business owner he’s not there at all with management. i called to cancel my membership in october (he was charging me 35 dollars a month not bad ) as soon as i said i wanted to cancel his whole tone changed and said now its 100 dollars a month if i ever want to come back. i said okay and hung up the phone. november comes i get a charge of 95 dollars from you guessed it joes fitness!! i call him he says he’ll refund me never got it btw. then comes december you guessed what happened i got charged again another 35 dollars. i call him and his gym multiple times no answer. then i finally get a text after an hour saying he’ll refund me at the end of the day and call me about it. never got a call for a refund i call monday tuesday wednesday and friday and texted him too no response. i finally got through to the actual gym staff and they said and i quote “sounds like joe”. long story short learn how to do business… guess you really needed that extra money. be warned if you are considering coming to this gym. there is way better options out there that don’t play childish games.

I’ve been a member of this gym for a while, and I’m really disappointed with the recent changes. They’re taking out many of the commercial-grade machines, dumbbells, and plates, and bringing in lower-quality, non-commercial ones. It’s just not the same gym it used to be, it doesn’t have that old-school atmosphere anymore that made it special. I used to come here because of the equipment and the environment, but now it feels like the focus has shifted away from being a gym. Every time I come in, something’s going on, painting, moving machines around, no music playing, soap dispensers being empty.

Been going for 3 years here and the new owner is no bueno, old owner better. Equipment such as treadmills are still broken after months and bathroom equipment is still poorly maintained. 10/31 Edit: the cable machine had still been broken and had a sign saying that they will fix it on 10/22 and it’s already halloween🙁
