reviewsWhat Members Say

Members praise specific instructors like Valencia, Anne, Lane, and Nicky for providing consistent yet varied classes that are efficient, relaxing, and motivating. Long-term attendees appreciate the community and effective workouts that leave them feeling stronger. However, multiple reviews describe frustrating customer service experiences with front desk staff, billing errors for membership freezes and cancellations, and poor communication from management. Some note the small studio space with closely placed reformers and occasional equipment wear, while cross-promotion events have made some members feel uncomfortable in the shared lobby area.

I’ve been coming here for over 7 years and I love the location and classes! All of the instructors are awesome - their instruction is consistent yet every time is slightly different so it never feels like the same class twice. I’ve had some recent interactions with the staff (shoutout to Nicky!) for absences, bookings, etc., and everything was taken care of quickly. So glad to have CP nearby!

Between Valencia, Anne, and Lane, I can’t get enough of their classes. Their sessions are efficient, relaxing, and motivating! Each instructor brings their own unique energy and expertise, making every class a refreshing experience. I always leave feeling stronger, more centered, and ready to take on the day. I recommend CP to everyone I know, and so far, all of my recs have signed up—and they love it just as much as I do! Thank you to these amazing ladies and Loehmann’s Plaza CP for creating such an incredible space for fitness and self-care! You’ve truly made an impact on my wellness journey.

Update: I've been told that the charge is being reversed along with some other freeze fees that I was also incorrectly charged. This has not yet shown up on my account, but I will update this review if it does not. Aileen was apologetic and nice, but I believe the only reason this is being handled now is because of the review that I posted and it shouldn't take that for issues like these to be resolved. Erroneously charged and, after promised refund and making four calls, there has been no refund or communication from management. After being a member for several years (and not part of any contract or commitment), my membership was frozen due to two significant surgeries that made my unable to do Pilates. I was told that I would be notified before Club Pilates resumed my membership and given the opportunity to extend the freeze period as needed. I was not given notice and my card was charged on Jan 9, 2025. I called and spoke with staff members on Jan 13 and 21 as well as Feb 6 and 7 and was told each time that the staff member with whom I was speaking wasn’t able to make the refund, but that the manager would do so. On Feb 6, I was told the manager was there, but was busy. I relayed that I needed the issue resolved immediately and a return call from the manager. I have been very polite albeit it stern in my last two calls. Club Pilates has unduly taken my money and continues to take my time and cause undue stress. Studio management is awful and has been problematic during the entire course of my membership. I won’t be returning in any capacity.

Been coming to this location for years and have recently had several issues with front desk staff in the past 6 months. They always have the doors locked during business hours / are on personal phones and their phone rings / they take personal calls during group classes. I tried to walk in with my mom who’s in her 80s and they unlocked the door to tell me that if I wanted to sign her up I need to call in to schedule and intro class and refused to do it in person, my mother is not tech savvy so I was hoping to sign her up that day in person. I had asked for her name and manager information to file a complaint as the gal working front desk ( brown hair with highlights, and has an accent I’m not sure her name) has often been argumentative with myself and other members when asking basic questions, I’ve even seen her go off on other staff, she said if I didn’t like her attitude to go somewhere else and refused to give me any information. That’s precisely what I plan to do because I do not appreciate such poor customer service and unprofessionalism when paying so much for a membership for 5+ years. I have talked to the girls I have classes with and they have had similar issues with this staff member and try to come in when she’s not working. As a business owner with over 50+ staff myself I would not tolerate this type of behavior, I hope the owner either is simply unaware of this issue and if this is the first they hear of it I hope they resolve it before more members go elsewhere.

This location has a small studio space, the reformers are too close together, in my opinion. The instructors seem overworked or underpaid because they had a lot of class cancellations and instructor changes. Some of the instructors were great, but most were average, one or two were awful. Mixed feelings on the instructors. Some of the reformers had tears or rips in the leather and were patched, and sometimes the AC wasn't working. Right before summer started I attended a class and the lobby was set up with tables and they were cross promoting a medical spa. I had just finished class, was sweaty and trying to put my shoes back on, also in a hurry because I needed to pick up my daughter, and one of the spa ladies literally bent over and got an inch from my face to shove a flyer at me and began reciting every laser hair removal and body contour package available. When I politely said that I'm trying to put my shoes back on and I have somewhere to be... The woman became huffy with me and told me to have a "good evening" but in a tone that could only be considered rude and sarcastic. I reached out to Club Pilates to give feedback that it didn't feel pleasant to have a cross promotion event in the studio when I pay $$ for the privacy of the small classes, and of course nobody from Club Pilates ever responded to me. The final straw was when I went out of town for the summer (I'm a teacher) and I attempted to put my membership on hold for 3 months. For some reason they only paused it for 2 months and I was charged for the 3rd month. I've also recently moved to Roseville, so I've been attempting to cancel my membership at this Sacramento location for quite literally 5 weeks now. I've made multiple phone calls, left voicemails, and sent emails. Still no refund for the month I was charged that was supposed to be paused and no confirmation that my membership was cancelled. I've been patient. I've been polite. I've reminded them nicely at least 4 different occasions. I'm done being nice. I hope they see this review and finally process my refund and reach out to me with confirmation of my cancellation. Do not recommend. I would give this place zero stars if I could. * I was contacted by the district manager for club pilates within 24 hours of posting this review. She looked over my account and discovered that I had been charged for the entire summer that my membership had supposedly been on "pause". She refunded me two months of service and finally sent me a confirmation of cancellation. She asked me to remove this review from Google. I thought about it, but I explained to her that I had been trying to cancel my membership at the Sacramento location because I had just moved to Roseville and I wanted to try the Roseville studio. While she seemed concerned about the medical spa cross promotion event I wrote about and said she would speak with the manger about ghosting me and never pausing or cancelling my membership.... She offered me no incentive to continue doing business with club pilates. Aside from refunding me hundreds of dollars that I was charged over the summer while I was away on vacation, she did not offer to transfer my membership to Roseville or credit me a few classes at the Roseville studio. Why would I delete the review if you didn't even bother to keep me as a customer? 🤷🏻‍♀️
