Being a part of the Rose City Barbell community is such a joy. All the coaches here are supportive and knowledgeable. I can always count on Clem to check my form and give me great feedback to get the most out of my lifts. Kim is so great about giving modifications for those with injuries and encouraging us to push ourselves. I've made some great fitness progress being a part of this gym and I look forward to getting even stronger. Mary keeps this place running smoothly with a super clean and organized gym, a newsletter to keep you updated on the latest in the gym and lots of community events. If you're intimidated by weightlifting or the gym I cannot recommend enough coming here and getting encouragement, skilled coaching and even making some new friends.

Rose City Barbell is one of those rare gyms that feels legit without feeling intimidating. It’s women-owned, which I love, and you can feel that intention in the culture and members. Strong, focused, supportive. Clementine is the reason I started training here, and she’s exceptional. Her programming is intentional and progressive, and she knows how to push without being over-the-top. She understands personality and adjusts her coaching style accordingly. That emotional intelligence makes a huge difference. The gym itself is clean, well-equipped, and built for people who want to get stronger in a sustainable way. It’s not trendy fitness. It’s proper strength training. If you’re looking for a space where you can grow stronger physically and feel supported mentally, this is it. It is the highlight of my week.

This is IT--I have found my absolute gym place. & as long as Clementine, Lizzy, Kim and Mary are here, so will I be. (I keep saying this in person too, BTW!!) After decades of joining corporate run gyms one after another; male trainers shaming me for being big or forcing me on starvation diets and grueling a la 'The Biggest Loser' cult; my whole life being fat shamed and told I "wasn't strong enough", to find a place like RCB is an absolute MIRACLE. I need WOMEN, STRONG, EMPATHETIC WOMEN like these to uplift me, to truly help me reach my goals of health! I appreciate Clementine for being the first weightlifter to recognize that I absolutely LOVELOVELOVE lifting, and to help me stay on track! Huge gratitude for just getting stronger and stronger in just these past months for twice a week private sessions with both Clementine and Lizzy. I've gained balance in my form, strength, and my GP is absolutely over the moon with my progress! (Last year he diagnosed me with diabetes, which runs in my genetics.) In addition, I can also tell how great the group classes are as well; everyone open, friendly, goal focused and driven. This type of community, inclusive as well as goal oriented, inspires greatness. I LOVE the wide variety of classes too, and I can tell folks do well when they are at similar levels working out with instructors they respect, admire and trust. (That Lizzy runs nutritional seminars is a BIG bonus! SO incredibly helpful for me personally!) I can't wait to be back for my next lift! See y'all soon at RCB!

Love love love Rose City Barbell! As a former athlete and someone who was very nervous to get back into the world of fitness, I wholeheartedly believe you can’t find a better group of people to help you on a fitness journey than the coaches at Rose City Barbell! They’ve worked so hard to create such a lovely, welcoming, and inclusive space for all individuals wanting to get stronger. I am so grateful for the community that comes with training here and highly recommend and encourage everyone to check them out!

So glad I found this gym! Such a supportive, inclusive environment. Classes are small, and coaches have time to help with form, technique, etc. I love the super sculpt classes with Kim and Clementine. Both were so welcoming to me when I started and made me feel comfortable as a beginner. They also push me to have better form, higher weight, and challenge me when I need it!
