Resistance is the top CrossFit gym in the area. From day one, I felt genuinely welcomed into the community. The coaches are highly knowledgeable about all the movements and take the time to guide you through each class. They are friendly, attentive, and take pride in leading an exceptional session. The gym is spacious, comfortably accommodating up to 20 people. I've tried other CrossFit gyms, but there's something uniquely special about Resistance--and that's the community. Everyone is incredibly supportive and encouraging. The gym also organizes monthly social events for its members and hosts several CrossFit competitions throughout the year. Their programming is top-notch, offering a diverse range of movements and strength training. I discovered Resistance Athletics (RA) through one of the coaches I met at a local running club. I had been considering joining a gym and had already visited a few in the area, but nothing compared to the experience I had at Resistance. From day one, I felt like part of the family. The community was incredibly welcoming and supportive, and the coaching staff was both knowledgeable and encouraging—always ready to help me scale movements when needed without ever making me feel out of place. What started as a trial quickly became a year-long membership, and during that time, I didn’t just build physical strength—I also saw real growth in my overall well-being. RA isn’t just a gym; it’s a space that fosters connection, belonging, and community. Though I’ve since moved away from Pasadena, Resistance is a place I call home.

I love this gym! I've been doing CrossFit for 12 years and had been a member at 5-6 different boxes before. This is hands down the best gym I've been a part of. The community is truly special, reflects the diversity of Pasadena and the coaches are top notch. The space is also massive and always clean/organized. Whether you're just starting out, or looking for a supportive fitness community, or want to perform at your peak, this gym has it all!

I’ve been a member at Resistance for several years. The coaches are experienced and always motivate/push me to keep going. The gym is spacious with plenty of equipment. The gym does a great job fostering a strong community. There are monthly community events and activities to participate in. Members are friendly and genuine people. I am so thankful for Resistance!
