Pure Barre is a serious workout for people of all ages and all body types. The instructors are trained to help you, regardless of your limitations. As a senior who has experienced her share of physical decline, I rely on Pure Barre to decrease my stress, to keep my body toned, to improve my balance and to maintain muscle strength. Kudos to Kayla and the terrific folks at the Santa Monica studio staff who have created a wonderful, welcoming community.

Pure Barre has become so much more than just a workout for me—it’s a daily practice that gives me an hour to reconnect with myself. Each class is a chance to check in with my mental and physical state, focus on my breath, and let go of anything that isn’t serving my best self. I’m 82 classes in now, and I can honestly say I don’t know what I’d do without it. I’m deeply grateful for this space, this community, and the clarity it brings into my life.

Pure Barre Santa Monica (and Brentwood) are my favorite fitness studios for full-body, low-impact workouts. They now offer different classes for whatever your needs are - strength building, cardio, stretching, and more. The instructors are friendly, knowledgeable, and push you just enough while offering modifications for all levels. The space is clean and welcoming, with a positive and intimate vibe.

Just finished a couple of classes with our new instructor, Lindsay, who impressed me with her choreography and class management. The timing for each sequence was perfect, and transitions were organic. Both classes were well thought out. Music was also fun. Lindsay's kind and encouraging teaching style made these classes a great barre experience. I have written six years ago that I have tried several different barre classes, but Pure Barre is my favorite because I see the most results. The exercise routine is challenging but fun and motivating, with great music. The instructors are professional, knowledgeable, and also very personable. They are very good at assisting with the proper alignment in order to prevent any strains or injuries. These wonderful instructors motivate us to give the very best becoming stronger and healthier. There is a great energy in each class in this spacious studio. My statement still holds true. I would like to add that this Pure Barre studio, and also the one in Brentwood, under Kayla’s wise leadership, are hubs of a great community where everyone feels welcome, no matter the age or level of barre expertise. You will make true friends here. Come and tuck with us!

Love the instructors, community and Pure Barre classes in Santa Monica! I highly recommend starting with Classic and Align classes…and because the fun factor is high, with great music and a healthy combination of exercises and stretches, it’s easy to keep going! Very grateful!
