Polaris Weightlifting and head coach Toby Skinner has taught me everything I could need to know about the sport of Olympic weightlifting and continues to help me improve every time I head over for a session. The vibes are immaculate here with a welcoming group of athletes and each training session is going to kick your butt in the best way as you try to throw more and more weights over your head. If you want somewhere to train and become the strongest and most skilled weightlifter you can be, this is the place!

In my opinion, Toby is the best coach in the greater Los Angeles area. He was trained under the Hall of Fame coach Bob Takano, and has a superb knowledge on Olympic Weightlifting techniques. If you're interested in training, I definitely recommend that you stop by and check the place out!

I paid for the 1-1 session which was worth every dollar from the information about programming, form, technique, periodization, SRA explanations etc. If you do any kind of Oly lifting or sports performance that involves the Oly lifts, do yourself a favor and go to one of their classes.

Tired of being weak or not feeling confident on your snatch or clean & jerk? Maybe that there animal culture down the street wasn’t cutting it for ya. Or 24 hour fitness despite having Eleiko equipment was ruining your training with all the jabroni’s walking on your platform or misusing the oly bars. What are change plates? Well come train at Polaris Weightlifting, a real weightlifting gym.
