I’m still new to this place, but I’m already a big fan. It never feels overcrowded, so the machines are easy to access without waiting. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted warmly and made to feel welcome. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable, which makes working out more enjoyable. Having parking available is a huge plus and adds to the overall convenience. So far, it’s been a great experience and easily one of the best gyms I’ve joined.

My experience was overall okay, but the primary reason for my rating is that this location feels significantly outdated and under-maintained compared to modern gym standards. Fitness equipment and technology evolve quickly, and this facility has not kept pace. Many machines feel old, worn, and heavily used, with outdated TVs and interfaces. Given the high volume of members using the equipment, there should be more frequent deep cleanings and a clear plan for regular equipment upgrades. This location also faces unique challenges due to its proximity to DTLA and the surrounding area. For member safety and peace of mind, it would greatly benefit from having a dedicated Planet Fitness security presence inside the facility, not just in the parking lot. Additionally, cleanliness needs improvement beyond surface-level upkeep. The windows are extremely dirty, the air feels musty upon entry, and the overall environment gives off an old-school gym feeling rather than a modern, high-end experience. Every neighborhood deserves a well-maintained, modern fitness facility, and this one needs to catch up—both technologically and in overall presentation. Hopefully this feedback helps the owner step it up for their own good, especially considering the lifestyle and expectations of the local community. Consistent upgrades, improved cleaning standards, modern equipment, and a refreshed atmosphere would make a significant difference in member experience and satisfaction.

Signed up my family because I felt comfortable going to this one because they are alpt of disinfecting stations. Last week we noticed 4 of the stations where taken down. They only left 1 for the whole Gym. With all these things going around like the flu, covid, Hand and foot and Herpes. I we are debating whether we are going to keep the membership at this Gym. When asked why... the staff did not know. I think the manager wants to save some money. So sad.. we where happy this gym was trying to keep their members safe but I quess money is tight.

About four months ago, I came to your location to cancel my Planet Fitness membership. Your staff told me that my membership had been canceled, so I deleted the app. However, I recently discovered that my account has been charged every month for the past four months. Later, when I tried to resolve the issue, I was directed to another branch. If cancellations cannot be processed at this location, then how was I told that my membership was canceled here four months ago? You caused me a lot of inconvenience by sending me from one branch to another. I was charged for four months despite not using any services. This is unacceptable. Because of this experience, I do not recommend Planet Fitness at all.

I came in on Christmas Eve after calling and confirming with the polite gentleman who answered the phone saying they closed at 7pm. I usually go to Pasadena location which is amazing but was on my way to the airport. I got there at 6:15 and the young lady with brown curly hair at the front desk who was head down staring at her phone and i had to get her attention for me to scan my phone, told me they close at 7 but were going to ask everyone to leave at 6:30pm which the guy earlier made no mention of, I said i was doing 15-20 min workout then taking a quick shower so if they’re doors closed at 7pm that was plenty of time, she seemed annoyed. I go shower around 6:30 and at 6:35 she comes in while I’m showering to yell that they are closed and to ‘make it quick’. If they wanted to close at 6:30 then say you’re closing at 6:30. I get it sucks working Christmas Eve but I’ve worked plenty of holidays when i was her age. Besides that this location was filthy, especially the changing stalls there was garbage collected below the benches. Won’t be back.
