This LA Fittness is more than just a gym—it’s a real community. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and supported. The guys I lift with aren’t just workout partners; they’re coaches and friends. They take the time to critique my form, share tips, and push me to get stronger every day. It’s rare to find a place where people genuinely care about helping each other succeed, and that’s exactly what you’ll find here. If you’re looking for a gym that combines great equipment with an amazing sense of camaraderie, this is the spot.

I generally like this gym. Not too big, but it has most of the things I need. Good location and easy parking. The problem I have is that sometimes the air conditioning is not on. Yesterday it was 90 degrees and I asked the general manager why the air conditioning was not on. He told me "they're working on the a/c." I asked how long it had been broken and got this response: "I didn't say that it's broken. I only said they're working on it." Me: "Well, I'm assuming if it's not on and someone is working on it, it's broken." LA Fitness Rep: "You shouldn't assume." Ugh. Just tell the truth -- even if is that they don't want to spend the money on electricity for the A/C.

This place is an absolutely dump. It’s always stifling hot in here and half of the equipment is completely degraded/beyond repair. In my pic you can see one of the many rusted elliptical machines. As others have mentioned, many of the staff are very rude. I often times am on a machine and will have a staff member vacuum directly under my feet. There are not enough weights/machines for the capacity they have here and you will constantly be waiting while someone is on their phone. Will be switching.

I went to see this LA Fitness to check it out before committing, the place smelled strongly of mold or something very old and damp. I asked the woman at the front desk who I was told is the manager, short bob haircut how many days I could try the gym to see if I felt comfortable coming here. She didn’t even want to answer and was absolutely rude. Yes, the prices are cheaper than other gyms, but the customer service is just as cheap. I do not recommend this gym. LA Fitness train your employees better it costs nothing to be kind, professional.

Because it’s LA, it is a majority of LGBTQ+ customers. With that being said…there are a lot of gay gym goers at ANY given hour. Whether that’s good or bad is up to you, but I have never felt so uncomfortable attending another gym (as my boyfriend’s guest). My boyfriend is constantly harassed and on the receiving end nonstop of gay men checking him out…eventually making him uncomfortable and cut his workouts short. If I go up to the front desk to complain they’d sweep it under the rug to maintain a good rating. Be warned. The men here are predators.
