reviewsWhat Members Say
Members report a divided experience at this LA Fitness location. Some praise the comprehensive equipment selection, positive training atmosphere, and specific trainers like Kal who provide excellent coaching and safety support. However, numerous reviews highlight serious concerns about equipment maintenance with torn pads and scattered weights, security issues including locker room theft and parking lot incidents, and customer service shortcomings when reporting harassment or safety concerns. The indoor pool receives consistent positive feedback as a standout amenity, though issues with cleanliness, inconsistent hot water, and limited parking payment options frustrate many members.

Awesome gym! I've been coming here since the early 2000s, back when it was Bally Total Fitness. It has everything you need, regardless of how you train. Huge shout out to trainer Kal from New Zealand, he saved my life during a heavy bench press slip and has helped me push my limits. Highly recommend him! Great people, great atmosphere, and a solid place to train.

The worst LA fitness in LA and thats saying a lot. Never any weights and if you find one its randomly by the bathroom door or somewhere its not supposed to be. No one works here with the exception of the front desk person. It just feels so dirty and most of the equipment pads are torn. The only benefit is the pool. Update: still incredibly ghetto and theres no hot water. Update: no hot water and no one puts weights away. The worst place. Only good is its fairly empty at 7am.

The gems nice nice swimming pool and two large hot tubs unfortunately there's a lot of theft in the locker rooms. When you arrive you'll notice a number of bike locks that are still hanging from the rail on the property 10 ft from the main entrance and reception desk from bikes that have been stolen. Unfortunately mine was one of them just a few days ago. The staff's response was nothing but apologetic for not having cameras outside however they do have cameras outside I counted three. I sent an extremely detail-oriented email to corporate office and have not heard back from them yet included the police report. Because I have not heard back from corporate with an apology or even a response I've decided to cancel my subscription to LA Fitness as a result. Plus the vibe at this gym is kind of ghetto compared to locations where you'll feel a little safer like in the valley are the Westside.

This has been the worst experience I’ve ever had at a gym. I’ve been harassed multiple times by someone inside this location, and I no longer feel safe here. I reported that someone kept taking pictures of me, bothering me, and making me uncomfortable, but nothing was handled properly. On top of that, my car has been damaged several times in the parking lot — flat tires again and again, and scratches on my vehicle. This has happened repeatedly, and it’s extremely stressful and unacceptable. I expected a safe environment when I signed up for a membership, but instead I’ve dealt with harassment, zero support, and a complete lack of security. I will never recommend this location to anyone.

THEY DO NOT TAKE APPLE PAY. Parking here is only $1 but no apple pay. Make sure you bring your physical credit card for the parking garage! I am new to LA, have never been here before, and I accidentally forgot my wallet. I had my phone so I tried to use apple pay but they dont take it. I was literally begging for someone to give me cash so I could venmo them $1 to be able to get out of the garage. The parking guy said "you should have known, there are signs!"
