reviewsWhat Members Say

Members praise the friendly staff, extensive variety of bouldering walls for all skill levels, and clean facilities with showers and a sauna. They appreciate the family friendly environment and additional amenities like yoga classes, cardio equipment, and weights. Common concerns include limited parking that often requires walking several blocks, occasional late openings especially in the early morning, and the absence of specialized climbing boards. Some note that the area can feel sketchy when walking after dark, and there have been multiple membership price increases without corresponding improvements in experience.

This climbing gym is absolutely great with so many amenities. The only downside is the limited parking. There’s a small lot behind the gym and street parking. Keep in mind that this is in between the main street and the neighborhood so you may have to drive around for a couple blocks before you find parking, especially during busy times. There’s a huge variety of bouldering walls of different grades for every type of climber. They also have a gym, both strength training with weights on the first floor and cardio machines on the 2nd floor. They also offer a variety of classes like yoga, etc. The bathrooms are also really nice and clean, with showers and a sauna.

Huge fan of this gym! Friendly staff and TONS of variety in the walls. Be prepared to park up to a few blocks away and walk. If you're a dude it's fine, but I can see it feeling sketch if you're a lady and walking around when it's dark.

Love the staff but the fact that the only climbing gym in Hollywood doesn’t even have a kilter or moon or any kind of board, is insanely frustrating. Class 5 has all the amenities and Hollywood feels like a dump in comparison. Do better touchstone, we know you have the money.

Overall this gym is not bad. I’m giving it 1 star because as someone that comes when the gym opens (6:30am weekdays and 9am weekends), roughly 20% of the time, the opener is not on time. Whether it’s a scheduling issue or they overslept, I don’t know, but they’re often 30min to hours late. This is especially annoying when I force myself to wake up early to try and get a workout in before work. Everyone would rather sleep in but we make an effort to go to the gym early because of life obligations and responsibilities. It’s incredibly frustrating when you’re on a time crunch and the business doesn’t open when they say they would. If this happens once or twice it’s excusable, sure, but this happens all the time. I’ve talked to the manager, he’s apologetic and assures that changes will be made but it keeps happening. I don’t know what else to do but to voice my frustrations here. Touchstone has also raised membership pricing a few times since I’ve joined a little over a year ago, but the quality of my experience has gotten worse. As much as I love these gyms, I may have to start finding a new gym to go to as Hollywood boulders/touchstone clearly don’t respect their members.
