I wish I could give 6 stars to Coach Josh. He is one of the nicest, humblest, and most inspiring people I have worked with across any sport. I originally started seeing him to learn Olympic weightlifting technique, starting with the clean. His technical knowledge on these lifts is fantastic. At each stage, he knows exactly how and when to push his students. He doesn’t over-coach; he gives cues that help you in exactly that moment. His real-time feedback is top-notch. His knowledge and expertise with strength training, program design, and building well-rounded athletes are all excellent. I’m confident he can help athletes in any sport or at any age. I have worked with him for 9+ months, without any prior level of experience in weightlifting. I have hit significant personal records in the back squat, front squat, deadlift, clean, and snatch, with his training. I have been highly recommending him to my friends. I strongly recommend Coach Josh to you if you are looking for an Olympic weightlifting, powerlifting, or general strength training coach.

I can’t say enough good things about Coach Josh Squyres! He has been a game-changer for my brother, who has lost over 50 pounds thanks to Josh's incredible support and guidance. Before working with Josh, my brother had never set foot in a gym, but now he goes almost every day and has truly developed a love for fitness. Josh is an expert weight lifter and his passion for the sport is contagious ! Josh takes the time to create individualized plans tailored to each client’s needs, and you can tell he genuinely cares about their progress. He knows just how to push you beyond what you thought was possible while maintaining a positive and encouraging atmosphere. Plus, he’s such a nice guy, making every session enjoyable. Thanks to Coach Josh, my brother is not just fitter but also happier and more confident. We owe so much of this transformation to him. If you’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate coach, look no further than Josh!

I trained with Josh Squyres about 5 years ago when I lived in California. He is an accomplished power lifter, however, I hired Josh to improve my 5k running times which may seem counter intuitive. Josh had me perform box jumps, weighted stair climbs, and barbell squats with my feet closer together than i would ordinarily have them and he decreased my in between set times which also I believe increased my cardio performance. His trainning methods simply worked. He was careful to not take too long between sets with talking, and at times reminded me that it is time for the next set. Josh improved my running times, I trained with him about every 5 to 6 days, old fashioned hard working and results. Top notch trainner and athlete who sincerely loves what he does and wants you to get maximum benefit. Highly recommended.

As a total beginner, I was curious to learn how to do the Olympic lifts (clean and jerk/snatch) safely and without injuring myself, so I looked for a coach, and am so happy that I found Josh! I've been training with Coach Josh for over a year now and am a very happy student. He helped me to get the basics down quickly, and now he creates weekly programs that are challenging enough to keep me progressing, having fun, and not getting bored over the long term. I feel like I am learning a set of skills that will keep me healthy and strong, and to me that is one of the best investments I can imagine making. If you're curious to learn weightlifting, I highly recommend working with Coach Josh.

I have been training with Coach for about one year now and all I can say is it has been awesome. I have never been stronger or in better shape and that is largely because of Coach's programming and coaching. In particular, Josh has a great philosophy on training (and life) that has really helped me make continuous progress since I have been working with him. No matter what your goals are, I would HIGHLY recommend working with Coach Josh.
