They highlight the spacious, clean facility with creative, frequently updated climbing routes suitable for all skill levels, from children to experienced climbers. Specific praise mentions staff members like Alex who provide excellent orientation and support. Alex was amazing from the moment we walked in. He made us feel comfortable right away. I took my two oldest kids, ages nine and seven, and we got a day pass. Alex walked us around, explained how everything works, and spent time making sure we understood the system. We ended up spending a couple of hours there and mostly stayed around what they call the turtle. The kids had a great time! There were plenty of routes that felt approachable. We started with VB and worked our way into V0. It was fun, manageable, and encouraging. I was honestly a little hesitant to bring my kids because I thought they might be too young, but they absolutely loved it. Now they are already asking when we can go back, so I guess we will be making that happen. Overall, it was a really welcoming environment. The place is clean, airy, and feels like a strong community. Parking was easy, even though it was getting busy by the time we arrived. We had a lot of fun and will definitely be back.

Loved it! Visiting LA for a few days from the Bay Area and got to spend a couple of hours here. Very friendly staff, very fantastic boulder settings, and great music! And easy to access via public transportation! 😍

Cliffs of Id is hands down one of the best climbing gyms in the area. The facility is spacious, clean, and well-designed, with a great variety of routes for all skill levels—whether you’re into bouldering or rope climbing. The setting is creative and frequently updated, which keeps things fun and challenging. The staff is super friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to help. What really sets this gym apart is the welcoming, inclusive community—it’s a great place to learn, train, or just have fun with friends. Highly recommend for climbers of all levels!

Good gym lots of options for climbing, bouldering, or other work outs. Lead and top roping options are good. You'll get a good workout here. Parking can get tricky. Staff is friendly. People there are polite and respectful.

Good gym! However, I have a few issues. I signed up in September, and when I did I saw that they had this initiation charge of $100. I asked if they ever waive it or run promotions and they said they do not. So I signed up. The following month, they had a promotion of no initiation fee, and they did it again in January. Also, during the holidays they closed early way too many days. I understand christmas eve and christmas day, but closing at 6 pm on 12/26 was very unnecessary. The gym was *packed*, a lot of people were upset that they were closing early that day. Same around Thanksgiving and New Year. And of course immediately after doing that they raised the monthly membership which felt like a slap on the face. And finally, they do not provide tags to check in anymore, you have to sign in on your phone and use a QR code on your phone. The gym and routes are fantastic, top tier. Parking is bad but there's a lot across the street that has room even on peak afternoon hours.
