I can’t say enough great things about Starting Strength Katy and especially Josh. He is truly the best coach. He meets you where you are, works with you at your level, and somehow helps you get stronger every single day. What really sets him apart is that he takes the time to educate you. He doesn’t just tell you what to do — he makes sure you understand why you’re doing it, which has made a huge difference in my progress and confidence. The atmosphere in the gym is friendly, encouraging, and completely non-judgmental. It’s such a refreshing change from the typical gym environment. I’ve joined gyms in the past and dropped out more times than I can count because I relied on temporary motivation. This is different. I’ve been coming here for a year and a half now, and I could never imagine leaving. It’s hands down the best decision I’ve ever made for myself. Thank you Josh & JD!

Great place for newbies and experienced lifters. Came for strength training to counteract menopausal muscle loss and other signs of aging. The small class size and education on form are game changers. You become more aware of your body and push it harder. Coach Josh and Shelly are great with all clients. From tweens to elderly they customize the workout for goals, safety and rehab if needed. The clientele is what makes this place more like a hangout than gym. You walk in and are welcomed like you are entering Cheers bar. Everyone is supportive. My tween daughter staring lifting here and on her gym days she is happier and more present. Her confidence has swelled and she is proud she can easily lift friends for fun. Stop reading a book the free session to see what I mean.

I can’t say enough good things about Starting Strength. The program is excellent, but the coaches are what truly make this place stand out. From day one over a year ago, they’ve been just as attentive and dialed in as they are now. Whether you’re brand new or experienced, the level of detailed coaching is unparalleled, and every session feels like private training because the feedback is constant and tailored to you. The small group format is a huge advantage. The coaches have time to watch you closely, correct you, and help you hone technique rep by rep, which makes a real difference in both results and confidence under the bar. If you’re serious about getting strong and feeling healthier, this is the best way to do it. I’ve never been stronger in my life, and the progress I’ve made over the last year has been beyond what I expected.

An amazing facility with some fantastic trainers, Josh and JD. They teach you how to lift correctly for strength and life optimization. I have been here for almost 2 years and have recovered from previous injuries with out surgery! Highly recommend this facility if you want to be your best self!

Great team, great experience. I started about 4 months now and the whole team here and in other drop in gyms i have been very knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming. Great benefit and greater experience for me so far here. Recommended big time
