Marquise T the Assistant General Manager; is incredible! He not only gave us the best deal & helped my fiancée get started with a trainer on the spot! He gave my fiancée advice, great tips & made him genuinely feel comfortable in being in a gym setting. He had him excited to get started and made sure he felt at home right away! The entire staff from entering to leaving was awesome! Thank yall for giving us a fitness oasis that will make us healthy, happy and excited to come workout! The pool is great - saunas + steam room.

Darlene at the front desk of 24 Hour Fitness Gulf Freeway – Orange Grove is absolutely outstanding. From the moment you walk in, she sets the tone for the entire gym experience with her warm smile, professionalism, and genuine friendliness. Darlene goes above and beyond every single time—she’s knowledgeable, efficient, and always willing to help with questions, membership issues, or just a friendly word to start your workout on a positive note. She makes members feel welcomed, valued, and remembered, which is rare and incredibly appreciated. She represents the gym at the highest level and is a huge asset to this location. Front desk staff like Darlene are the reason people enjoy coming back. If 24 Hour Fitness had more employees like her, every location would be exceptional. Highly recommend recognizing her—she truly makes a difference!

MOST IMPORTANT ~> "24HR FITNESS" ISN'T OPEN 24 HOURS... you're now informed / warned 😛 ~ Slightly sketchy but serviceable + all I can use is the pool ssssssssssso not the best person to say about machines, weights and things like that. ~ Pool is in good shape and the chlorine level is kept at a sane level so no burning eyes from 20 feet away or anything. Ladders are secure and no visible damage to surface or finish. ~ Locker room (men's) could REALLY use some help: numerous busted locking rings - obviously from robberies, mostly no shower curtains and one shower enclosure looks to have been broken a lonnnnnnng time, staff just tossed empty body wash refills on floor, lotsa (gang?) tags... things like that. ~ Staff has been nice enough and even friendly when telling me (ignorant or closing) to please get out of the pool and sharing my unhappy about 24hr not being 24hr. ~ Closing early was initially a pandemic response which corporate decided to keep, though in this location I'm sure it's also due to insurance concerns since... you know... South Houston 😳

It's sad. This place once was a top notch gym, now it feels like you are working out at an old dirty truck stop. Even the warehouse gyms are cleaner and have better upkeeping. You have ab machines without padding; it's been like that for months. You have a scale with a hole and rust on it. The restrooms have urine on the floor and it smells worse than a gas stations restroom; don't even think about showering there either. The swimming pool area is disgusting and please wear sandals or flip flops because you don't want to get any type of infection. Just watch, you will see 24 Hour Fitness respond with saying something about they take care and also really care about the facility. They will say that they take pride in the maintenance or anything else but if they really did, I wouldn't have been able to photograph. It's straight up sad
