Y7 Studio Flatiron
About
Y7 Studio Flatiron offers heated yoga and sculpt classes in a unique studio environment. The facility spans the third and fourth floors of its building, with a narrow stairway providing access. On the third floor, members find the front desk, lockers, and co-ed shower and bathroom facilities, which include three showers and two bathrooms. The studio provides rental mats and towels for a fee, waived for first-time visitors. In sculpt classes, participants use provided equipment like 3lb weights, resistance bands, ankle weights, and yoga blocks. The brand maintains a distinctive atmosphere by keeping lights off during classes and prohibiting phones in the heated studio room, which reviewers note is not as intensely hot as some other heated studios.
reviewsWhat Members Say
Members consistently praise the supportive and attentive coaching, with specific instructors like Makayla, Karishma, and Corinna receiving frequent acclaim for creating welcoming classes that accommodate all skill levels. The studio's hip-hop music and heated but not overly intense environment are highlighted as positive aspects of the workout experience. Some concerns include strict punctuality policies with no grace period, occasional scheduling frustrations as sculpt classes have replaced some popular yoga time slots, and limited shower facilities that can create waits in the co-ed locker area. A few reviewers also mention the absence of mirrors and dark studio lighting as brand characteristics that may not suit everyone's preferences.

Makayla crushed it. had such a lovely class. i was with my friend who has barely done yoga and definitely not done Y7. she LOVED! it!! I was so excited. Really was a perfect class to see what Y7 is all about!! She even went over to help out my friend a few times, she instinctually could tell that my friend need the support. was great!! and she played more hip hop vibes, which is still one of my fav parts of the work out <3

Y7 is my favorite yoga studio, and the Flatiron location is truly the OG that everyone loves. I really wish the 10:30 a.m. We Flow Hard class would come back. I absolutely love Karishma’s Monday flow, and Corinna is my all-time favorite.

I came for a Sculpt class. Clean facilities located right on the 3rd + 4th floors. It's a narrow stairway to get up. The front desk, lockers, and showers are on the 3rd floor, where they provide you with a bath towel if needed. There are only 3 showers and 2 bathrooms, so expect to wait. The showers and locker area are co-ed, so be sure to change in the shower room before coming out. There's an open vanity area by the lockers to get ready afterwards. The studio is upstairs, where phones aren't allowed, since it's a heated room. Thankfully, the room isn't as hot as some other heated studios l've been to. Mat + towel combo for rental is $9, but the fee is waived if it's your first class. Before you enter the heated room, you're instructed to take a set of 3lb weights, a resistance band, and ankle weights. Depending on the class, you'll also take a yoga block. Their Sculpt class has a short stretch portion for cool down and no cardio (like CorePower). Only downside l'd say is that there are no mirrors to check your form and they turn off the lights in the class, but that's their brand. Overall, I had a good sweat + would return for another heated sculpt class!

Ok classes . Ok heat. 2nd time got there exactly at class time and wouldn’t let me in for “safety concerns” 🫤 Absurd. No one wants to be on time which is late, agreed. Every studio across the country has a grace period, bc life happens… 7pm class getting there at 7pm after walking 15 blocks and climbing 3 stories to be told no bc the teacher JUST walked up? 30 secs earlier was ok tho ? Put that on the website. Too many studio options to go out of my way, multiple flights of stairs and coed bathrooms to be possibly told no if one day you happen to not get there 15mins before like we should. Funny, first class I took started 7 mins late AND 2 girls walked in and set up AFTER the teacher. Guess it’s just men that have to be early

I used to loveeeee Y7 and used to come here religiously, 5+ times a week! However since they started doing sculpt classes, they’ve taken over the afternoon schedule - particularly the 4:30 class. Now they don’t offer any yoga classes at 4:30, except Thursdays. Sculpt is cool and all but not my favorite. I really miss being able to take my regular 4:30 and decompress after work. I wish they would at least alternate the days between sculpt and yoga! It’s a yoga studio!!!!
