They highlight the gym's luxurious atmosphere, impeccable cleanliness, high-quality equipment, and friendly staff who create a welcoming environment. Several reviewers specifically mention enjoying the boxing and strength training combination, the beautiful TMPL Baths facility, and the overall worth of the membership investment. This gym was a little intimidating at first (for a non gym guy). However, it is beautifully designed with a black and gold theme (you hardly would know it is a gym on the first floor). Props to the the interior decorator. I have yet to use the pilates studio or the boxing ring but they look great! The downstairs is a bit dark but in a welcoming kind of way with brand new custom weights and machines. The showers are the nicest I have ever seen in a gym with brand new Kohler fixtures and maintaining the color theme. They keep the place impeccably clean. The staff is incredibly nice and makes you feel like part of the gym family. The best part though is my trainer, Jonathan Ramos. He is a super chill guy, knows his stuff inside and out and in a matter of just a few months I can see significant change. If he ever gets any openings I strongly suggest you hire him, but you probably will have to go on his waiting list. They also have a separate adjacent co-ed bath house, TMPL Baths, that looks amazing. I will definitely be checking it out on some cold winter days!

I’ve been training with Jonathan for a little over a month at TMPL, and the progress I’ve seen already is incredible. Not only has my body changed, but my overall strength and functionality during workouts have improved so much. We do a mix of boxing and strength training, and I genuinely look forward to every session. Jonathan pushes me in the best way possible and has even inspired me to start eating cleaner outside the gym. If you’re looking for a trainer who’s supportive, knowledgeable, and truly invested in your growth, Jonathan is the one. Highly recommend!

The newest TMPL location is finally open, and it is awesome. The vibe is luxurious with dimmer lighting, the staff is very friendly and a great cleaning team maintaining all the areas. The main level includes a large turf area, boxing ring, smith machines, cables, and cardio. There are is also a studio space for yoga and other exercise on the mezzanine. The lower level is the main weightlifting and machine space, which is very spacious and has ample high-quality Arsenal and Matrix equipment, and equipment not found at other gyms (like the single leg press and standing chest press). There is also additional cardio on the lower level. The lockers rooms are spacious, well equipped and include towel service. The TMPL Baths spa area is beautiful, but not open yet.

TMPL Madison is hands down one of the most impeccable gyms I’ve ever been a member of. The space is always immaculately maintained, the staff is friendly and professional, and the overall experience genuinely makes it feel worth every penny. I’m honestly so glad I became a member. This is one of those gyms where you don’t feel like canceling. Recently, I attended a sound bath class that was offered, and I really did enjoy the experience. The instructor was wonderful and did an amazing job guiding the session. That said, I do want to share one piece of constructive feedback. Because a sound bath is meant to be a deeply calming and immersive experience, the amount of outside noise from the gym made it difficult at times to fully relax. During the class, I could hear loud music, bass, weights dropping, and punching bags being used below, which pulled me out of the experience the whole time. This was my first time in the yoga studio, and while I completely understand that it’s a busy gym environment, the surrounding noise made it challenging to fully immerse myself in something meant to feel serene and peaceful. If TMPL plans to continue offering sound bath or similar meditation-style classes, I truly think some future consideration around soundproofing or noise reduction in the yoga studio would elevate the experience even more. That would honestly be my only suggestion. Overall, TMPL Madison remains an incredible gym, and I’m grateful to be a member. The quality, atmosphere, and staff really set it apart.

I joined TMPL Madison in August and absolutely love the gym—the new equipment, great atmosphere, helpful staff, TMPL baths, and classes all make it an amazing place to work out. I also had the chance to train with Jonathan, and he is truly one of the best trainers I’ve ever worked with. He’s incredibly knowledgeable about the machines, proper form, and effective training techniques, making every session safe, productive, and personalized. Jonathan is patient, supportive, and pays close attention to detail. He explains every movement with purpose and truly cares about helping his clients reach their goals. Thanks to him, I’ve already seen major improvements in my strength, weight goals, and confidence. If you’re looking for a trainer who is professional, motivating, and exceptional at what he does—Jonathan is the one. Highly recommend!
