About

This yoga studio offers a unique experience by combining a welcoming cafe space with a serene practice area. Located behind mirrored doors at the back of the coffee shop, the studio itself is described as surprisingly large, very clean, and well-equipped with all necessary yoga props including mats, bolsters, blocks, and cleaning supplies. The layout features big windows that let in natural light, a small changing space, and two private, all-gender bathrooms. The front cafe serves as the check-in point where visitors are greeted by friendly baristas before proceeding to the practice space. Classes incorporate a mix of body movement, wisdom teachings, and chanting, with instructors described as attentive and energetic who provide great instruction even in crowded sessions. The environment aims to be grounding and accessible, blending physical practice with deeper esoteric elements in what members call an oasis within the city. Some reviewers note the coffee is only okay and relatively expensive, and those sensitive to scent might want to sit further from where instructors occasionally light candles or incense. Overall, the space is designed to be both functional and spiritually nurturing, providing all amenities travelers might need without bringing their own gear. The community atmosphere emphasizes acceptance and support, creating what many describe as a peaceful retreat from urban life.

I took a morning yoga class at Three Jewels and loved it! There’s a small cafe at the front of the studio (Mara was working - what a gem!), and then behind the mirrored door at the back is the studio. There’s a small changing space with two private, all-gender bathrooms. The studio is surprisingly large, very clean, and has all of the yoga goodies you could want (mats, bolsters of every kind, blocks, tea tree cleaning sprays, etc). The class was well-paced and beautifully tough! At the end, the instructor lit some candles and incense in the upper left part of the room, so if you’re sensitive to scent I’d recommend sitting somewhere further from that. Overall, fantastic experience and looking forward to going again :)

I am traveling in New York and wanted to try a yoga class here. I chose Three Jewels due to its close proximity to my hotel and was expecting a nice little yoga session. I was welcomed by a warm and nice team upon entering (the studio is in the back of the coffee shop). The studio is very lovely, beautiful, clean and they provide mats, équipements and whatever you need to have a relaxing class. Everything is clean and well maintained. The class with Megan was really amazing. She gave great instructions and was very attentive. I really liked the mis of body movement, wisdom and chanting. It was grounding, exactly what I needed! Thanks for such a lovely session!

took 2 classes here via classpass on my trip to nyc! the goals yoga session by megan was one of the best yoga classes ive been to -- shes energetic and attentive to the students despite it being a relatively crowded class! incorporated loads of fun and reflection into the hour-long class. the place had a very lovely layout; cafe in the front where you register your attendance with the baristas then go through the mirrored doors to the gorgeous studio at the back. the studio had big windows letting light in, and provided mats and blocks for all students. appreciate the latter loads as someone travelling (w/o a yoga mat on hand). the coffee was only okay though, on the more expensive side.

An oasis in the midst of a crazy city. You walk into a cafe with the sweetest baristas and yummiest drinks. Hidden towards the back is a serene yoga studio. Three Jewels offers deep esoteric teachings and practices which have brought so much peace into my life. And they share it in a way that is accessible for anyone. If you’re looking to be surrounded by folks who embrace you, and accept you fully then Three Jewels is the place to be!

I spent a a few months at Three Jewels, and my experience was not what I expected. Initially, it seemed like a peaceful and supportive community, but over time, I began to feel uncomfortable with certain practices and the overall atmosphere. There were moments where I felt that things were not transparent, and I became increasingly concerned. I encourage anyone interested in joining to do thorough research and look at both positive and negative reviews from various sources, including online forums like Reddit, where some former members have shared their experiences. It’s important to make an informed decision before getting involved.
