About
SoulCycle West Village offers spin studio classes in a two-level facility that includes both a main studio and a downstairs space used for community rides and private events. The gym provides spin shoes for rental, towels, and water for purchase, with amenities including lockers and showers. Members note that the experience varies significantly by instructor, with specific praise for coaches like Jonas, who delivers fun classes with hip-hop music and choreography, and Stevie, whose sessions leave participants feeling euphoric.
reviewsWhat Members Say
Members report that the quality of classes depends heavily on the instructor, with specific praise for Jonas's hip-hop choreography and Stevie's uplifting sessions. Many appreciate the two studios, numerous class times, and celebrity sightings, but some find the locker rooms cramped with limited showers and bathroom stalls, noting older bikes and a musty studio atmosphere. Concerns include having to rush after class to secure a shower and the need for facility renovations despite staff efforts to keep areas clean.

BEST Village location does not disappoint. Take Stevie's class and you will walk out feeling like you're walking on a cloud. The studio is big, new, and beautiful. Celebs frequent this location as well. I saw Allison Williams and Zoisha from Girls!

Like other SoulCycle studios, the experience/difficulty/music really depends on the instructor here. Jonas's class is great - it's a decent amount of choreography, a lot of hip-hop, and it's fun. This studio has 3 showers and towels provided, so it can be difficult to snag a shower after a booked class. Spin shoes are available to rent for a price (or you can bring your own), and you can also buy water there.

This studio is connected to the corporate office of SoulCycle. The main one; and then the downstairs studio which is often used for community rides; and for private events. It has a nice public area; but the locker room is on the smaller side for those who are going in the morning and planning on showering there. Has all the expected amenities; and generally gets pretty good instructors. Also, because of location - see lots of celebs in classes.

Good open front locker area, and pretty standard number of showers (3) and amount of space in the women's locker room for Soul studios. Always well stocked with amenities, and class time options are numerous since there are 2 studios (one upstairs, one down).

This is my least favorite SoulCycle studio, from the layout to the size of the overall bathrooms. The entire studio is really only one main floor, with ample lockers. I didn't love that the showers were quite limited, with only 2 regular showers and 1 handicap. I felt like I had to rush out of class early, before the stretching, to secure a shower. The changing area is quite tight as well and the also limited bathroom stalls (only 2) are a bit dingy. The staff does a good job keeping the facilities clean, however I felt that the studio itself needs renovations. The layout of the bike studio itself is a bit weird and the room was pretty musky prior. The bikes also felt a bit older, as my bike handles were pretty worn.
