reviewsWhat Members Say
Members frequently praise the gym's convenient location and affordable pricing. However, reviews consistently report significant problems with equipment maintenance, noting broken machines like rowers and worn-out accessories. Cleanliness is a major concern, with mentions of dirty floors, odors, and a need for a deep clean. Operational issues such as malfunctioning entry scanners, lack of staff assistance, unavailable amenities like hot water and elevators, and occasional negative interactions with staff also feature prominently in member feedback.

The gym is very nice, not full of people. I really liked! I did this review cause before I saw many bad reviews but I started to go that gym and I saw how good is.

The good is the price and location and some machines have been replaced. The bad is that some high use machines desperately need maintenance and some accessories need to be completely replaced. In addition, the overall cleanliness is subpar. For example , both rowers are not working (staff have no idea when they will be fixed). I was shocked to see the condition of the rope pulls. All of them are literally disintegrating (see pic). In addition, the place needs to be closed for a day for serious deep clean. There is an odor and the floors are dirty. I am really hoping that PureGym can bring the gym up to a better condition. It has so much potential. I am sorry to leave such a negative review...

When will this gym finally add hot and cold water to the sinks? The air dryers also blow cold air. While other locations have these amenities, this downtown gym lacks both hot and cold water. They also have an elevator, but it’s not available for use. As someone with spinal issues that make climbing stairs difficult, this is extremely disappointing. This rebranding should have been an upgrade and better services, not a downgrade. I hope this location gets itself together soon.

I purchased and tried to use a day pass here. I arrived around 6:45 am. Their website said there would be staff at this time but there wasn’t. The scanner at the door wouldn’t accept my day pass QR code so I was unable to enter despite paying for the entry. The fact there was no staff there to help with this was really frustrating. There were many posters with codes to scan for help/info. All pointless. After this horrendous experience that wasted my time and money I am unlikely to join this gym and I want to caution others if they’re considering joining

I’m a Blink member and visited the 125th street location last Wednesday. No one was at the checkin area but I did not find this to be unusual because they’re renovating the checkin area as they are becoming PureGym, which has been going on for several weeks at multiple locations. I headed to the ladies locker room to prepare for my workout when I was accosted by blink staff member (Cynthia). She summoned me out of the ladies locker room and insisted I come with her in front of multiple other gym members who all looked at and her/me as though I was in trouble and frankly I was surprised and perplexed because I did not understand why she singled me out in the first place. Cynthia escorted me back to the front desk and asked me to rescan my QR code which I obliged which I did as I entered. She told me “ok you’re fine”. I asked her why she escorted me out of the locker room to have me do what I had already done I have been working out there all year so I couldn’t understand why she chose me especially after being there 2 days earlier and watching people enter with no membership or QR code and walking pass the scanner. She insisted it wasn’t personal they just have a new system but I felt singled out discriminated against & embarrassed, and worse than that I sometimes drive to the gym and time my workouts to replenish the meter and now she had wasted my workout time and embarrassed me. Several friends I workout with asked me if everything was ok smh. And afterwards as I was leaving a lady came into the locker room and asked me where the toilets were she obviously wasn’t a member and she walked in with no issues. To say I’m annoyed and flustered is to understate how I feel. Cynthia has seen me in numerous occasions and I have asked for paper towels in the ladies locker room several times. Her response to my concerns were blasé at best and her actions were unwarranted. Frankly, I felt like an outcast at my own home gym. I pay for an all access pass because I sometimes use the 116 st location near my office but I prefer 125 because it’s 2 blocks from my home & I have friends there with similar goals who are also my clients. The gym is where I come to relieve stress especially as an accountant gearing up for tax season. I really did not appreciate being treated that way at all and there aren’t any “feminine products’ or paper towels and cleaning solutions are always smh. All these things and you’re making me feel discriminated against smh. I’ll likely be taking my friends and my business else. I here PF & EQ are having a special!!
