reviewsWhat Members Say
Members praise specific instructors like Pedro for excellent coaching and clear explanations, and appreciate the studio's traditional approach with original wood and leather reformers in a quiet, intimate setting. However, many express frustration with rigid policies that don't allow grace periods for lateness, even for transportation delays, and report difficulties with the booking system for private sessions. Significant concerns include poor customer service responsiveness to refund requests, outdated equipment maintenance, and cleanliness issues, with some members describing the studio as unprofessional. While some find intermediate classes appropriately challenging, others note that most classes feel easy except for specific instructors like Dara.

Pedro is so good! Really sweet, explains the moves really well and you are not left behind. I really love the small intimate setting and the fact that they don’t play music so you can hear the instructor. I love the original reformers they use made of wood and leather. 10/10 recommend! I think I found my favorite Pilates studio 💕🥰🩷

“True” Pilates, very different than solid core / form50. The machines are less modern. The classes all felt really easy except for Dara’s, which said intermediate. That’s accurate. Here you’ll do one exercise like 3 times then move on, so unless that one exercise is super challenging, you won’t feel sore after. I was also going to be late one time and they took that class away. Usually there’s 1 allowed late before you just lose the class :( TBH I prefer solid core so will be going there instead

This is not a review about the class but the studio policies. Due to train delays, I was 3 minutes late to class. I was then told I could not attend as they don’t allow for any grace period. This is a policy that many studios seem to be adapting these days and it unfortunately doesn’t allow for any nyc mishaps that are out of our control. I wish I had been able to take the class as it’s one of very few Pilates mat classes and I was hoping to be able to refer my physical therapy clients there. Alas, we shall see if I attend a class in the future. If so, I will update this review. Power Pilates, please consider allowing even a 5 minute grace period for those of us traveling an hour to attend class.

I would not recommend this Pilates studio at all. The machines are old and poorly maintained, and the studio itself is dirty and uninviting. The lesson I attended was absolutely not worth the money. I had purchased a 5-class package, but after just one class I asked for a refund due to the poor quality. They flat-out refused. I’ve sent multiple emails asking for a solution and never received a response. I even asked several times for the studio manager to call me, but no one ever reached out. This lack of professionalism and customer service is unacceptable. Save your money and go somewhere else that values its clients.

SCAM! SCAM! SCAM!! I would give this studio zero stars if I could. This is less of a fitness center and more of a black hole for your money. The Scheduling Nightmare: Actually getting a private session scheduled is a statistical impossibility. Their "booking system" is a joke, trainers or the studio are perpetually unavailable unless you can go in the middle of the work day. I paid for a package that I was unable to use because the studio made it functionally impossible to book a session. Zero Compassion for Medical Issues: I encountered a legitimate medical issue that prevented me from attending for a period of time. When I reached out to request a simple extension or a partial refund, I was met with cold, robotic refusal. They have absolutely no interest in the well-being of their clients; they only care about keeping your deposit. Refusal of Service: The most egregious part? They are now refusing to provide the very services I have already paid for and also refusing to give me a refund! They have pocketed my money and provided nothing in return. It feels less like a professional Pilates studio and more like a scam designed to lock you into a contract and then shut the door in your face. Verdict: Do not walk, RUN away from this place. There are plenty of reputable studios that actually value their members. This isn’t one of them.
