Enjoyed my hot yoga on a chilly snowy day! 🧘‍♀️ •Jen was very encouraging and kind during our class! •It was a vinyasa flow that is both challenging yet not too exhausting. It made me sweat so much which I did want on a extremely cold snowstorm week in nyc! •Studio was very clean, with helpful and accommodating staff. •Toilets and storage rooms are also well-maintained. Cant wait to be back!

New York Yoga is my home away from home! This community is filled with passionate yogis and a caring, devoted staff. It's evident how much everyone cares about both the yoga practice and the entire experience. Plus the recent renovations have made the space even better. It's light, bright, and offers a great view of the Upper East Side out the windows. Another pro of this studio is that it's open to practitioners of all levels. New York Yoga offers various types of yoga, including yin, slow flow, all levels vinyasa, power flow vinyasa, and advanced power flow vinyasa. There's really something for everyone. Also, the heat! It feels fantastic. This is exactly where you want to be in the cooler weather and it actually helps you acclimate to the warmer weather in the summer months. This hot yoga studio is conveniently located by the 86th subway station , right off the 4/5/6 and super close to the Q train on 86th as well. Overall, the teachers, staff, and students are exceptional here. New York Yoga is a very special place and I feel so lucky to be a part of it!

The class itself was great — Sabrina is an amazing instructor. However, I had an uncomfortable experience at the front desk. I couldn’t buy water or rent a mat because payment was accepted only in cash or via QR code (no card payments). The administrator didn’t offer any solution from the studio’s side, and another client ended up paying for me, which put me in an awkward position. I hope the studio improves front desk service and payment options, because the classes themselves are really strong.

Yesterday I attended a full class where the person next to me had hygiene issues. The experience was very uncomfortable for me, even though I tried to cover my nose most of the class with a towel. I called and emailed the studio to ask if they had a policy about personal hygiene and they did not respond. I have been attending classes at NYY for over a decade and have spent thousands of dollars here. Other studios such as Fyra yoga in the west village have personal hygiene policies. I am not judging but this is an expensive class and attendees have the right to attend without experiencing the personal hygiene decisions of a few people.

Very expensive. My girlfriend and I walked into a class just one minute late, and the instructor couldn’t have been less welcoming. Instead of politely helping us find a spot, she spoke in a harsh tone and told us not to disturb the class ironically causing more disruption herself. Unfortunately will not be returning. There are other hot yoga studios I would rather give my business to
