Lyons Den has truly become a home for me here in NYC. I came in search of a Baptiste yoga practice, and what I found was so much more. The owner, teachers, and staff are exceptional, and the community of yogis I practice with inspires me every single day. I’m grateful to have found a place that feels this supportive and uplifting.

I’ve been taking Bethany’s classes for a decade. She’s in a league of her own. There is no place like Lyon’s Den. Her teachers are great. She also has the most lovely staff. Everyone who works the front desk is so friendly and kind - Lindsay is amazing. A must if you’re in NYC.

So much love for Bethany Lyons. Heard about this studio before the pandemic and luckily got a couple classes in before they went virtual. Continued taking digital Den classes on Zoom from my home base. Eventually started making it back in person during biz trips to NYC. This is a hot, sweaty, challenging, power practice. Zach is also so much fun. Love the community at Chelsea, have not visited Bryant Park yet.

I would like to give 6 stars. A true paradise for power yogis. The studio is neatly designed & thoughtfully furnished. Infrared heating too. I have only taken the Seth Barron class - finally!…. been looking for a strong spiritually meditative class after years of basics. His adjustments are amazing too!! Thankful to find this studio.

I used to take this class when they were located in Tribeca (before the hype) and enjoy it but now I can’t say the same. Feels extremely pretentious and cold. Greeting guest and making people feel warm and welcomed should be the bare minimum especially in a yoga studio. I inquired several times about teacher training but never received any response. I even flew into New York, inquired again in person, waited after class for the owner Bethany in hopes to maybe get more information but was told she was too busy to see me. Taking 5 minutes to acknowledge someone who does not live in state, has called several times and completed the online form would have taken very little effort but then again clearly not. I shrugged off the lack of regard and returned the next day, paying for another class and waiting once more. The class was empty with maybe 8 people total, there really wasn’t an excuse. Perhaps yesterday was an off day … but unfortunately it was just the same, a total lack of regard. Having been the only black person in the class two days in a row and seeing Bethany’s interaction as well as another instructor engage with other guests made me feel like an outcast and uncomfortable. I was disappointed by the staffs behavior but I quickly understood the cult like vibe. Among many things yoga represents fluidity, mindfulness and community. Lyons Den is anything but that.
