This is BY FAR my FAVORITE yoga studio in New York City. They have an amazing aesthetic, with mirrored walls, a large amethyst crystal, two types of tea to choose from and an amazing living room with oracle cards and decks. The shala has their signature sound, 432hz or Schumann Resonance which is the frequency of the earth. You can choose between Mellow, their most chill class, Unified, or Dynamic Hum. The room is heated but this is not hot yoga, and all the classes finish with a sound bath. It is an experience unlike any other and I come here to relax, rejuvenate and leave feeling amazing.

This is such a unique beautiful space. Clean warm and welcoming. Every-time I visit NYC I make it a point to book a class or take a trip in for a workshop. It is set up so beautifully and the community is amazing for NYC. The teachers are knowledgeable from multiple different traditional lineages. They also really focused cultivating relationships with students to aim to help deepen their practice. The subtle hum in the studio is just TOP tier.. can’t wait to go back soon.

LOVED LOVED LOVED the mini sound bath! Was in nyc for the weekend & was looking for a yoga class when I stumbled across this place & thought I’d give a sound bath a go. Great experience! & this place is stunning. Serve warm tea & water before/after class. The class was so peaceful & a wonderful experience. I will definitely be back

Think the humming thing is a gimmick? Give this place a chance anyway because even if you don't care about the humming part, the studio space and instructors make this place worth it. The physical space is lovely with high ceilings and big windows in the reception area, nice/clean/renovated bathrooms, and a spacious practice area. They set up mats and props for everyone and limit enrollment so you're never packed in the way it gets in some studios. The studio itself is dark and calming- the perfect place to chill out and practice some yoga! A touch on the expensive side if you're not going for a membership, but otherwise definitely worth a visit!

I have to give one star due to the multiple red flags…the studio is not clean. In between classes the women’s locker room was a mess, floors wet, sink drenched it water… WORST of all is I don’t know when those mats are getting cleaned. Prior to class no slip towel was given, I found wipes and wiped mine myself BUT the kicker ? Once class closed the instructor made no attempt at letting clients know they need to wipe down their mats! People were just leaving which I thought was odd because there was a class coming in after!! Go here at your own risk, the waiting room is cute and sure they have tea but your bare skin on the mat is a no no and for the price I would expect a bit more cleanliness
