BODYROK Soho
About
Bodyrok Soho offers gym and Pilates studio disciplines with a Lagree method approach that provides challenging yet manageable workouts. The studio features machines arranged in a straight line along mirrors, with movements projected on the wall for guidance. While the facility is described as bare bones with no showers, towels, or vanity amenities like deodorant or dry shampoo, it maintains a generally clean environment. The studio has approximately 28 lockers available, though some reviewers note they are older, and there is a small elevator that can be slow, leading some visitors to prefer the stairs.

Members consistently praise the challenging yet manageable Lagree workouts and highlight exceptional coaching from instructors like Megan Tsao, Ava, Ciara, and Delaney, who provide thorough guidance, demonstrate movements, and offer adjustments without judgment. Reviewers appreciate the welcoming atmosphere created by staff including sales representative Sophie and note the respectful community of fellow participants. Some mention the bare bones facilities with no showers, towels, or vanity amenities, older lockers, and occasionally curt staff, but these concerns are outweighed by positive experiences with instruction and workout quality.

Holy wow these classes are so challenging! I had a really great experience at the Soho studio. The sales rep Sophie made me feel super comfortable for my first time, and the instructor Ava was really thorough in talking us through the movements on the reformer! Definitely bring grippy socks if you come! And expect to be sore!

Went today (a few hours ago), I love it, i will definitely come back, the instructor is very nice and helpful while also giving you room to do your own thing, the place is clean, and the other “students” are very respectful as well.

haven’t been to a Wednesday class in a while and wasn’t disappointed. Ciara was the instructor. very helpful and informative throughout the class. she counts actual seconds and not the dreaded pilates seconds. loved it

Absolutely amazing. Delaney was super helpful during the class. I know I'm not as advanced as the other girls, but she helped me out whenever I was doing something wrong and backed me up with positive affirmations! She didn't make me feel bad about not knowing what I was doing either. The woman at reception was also amazing. So overall great experience from beginning to end.

First time taking a Bodyrok class! This SoHo location is located right at Broadway-Lafayette next to Target. You ring up to the 3rd fl on the keypad. The (small) elevator takes a while to call, so I just took the stairs. Compared to other fitness studios, Bodyrok is the most bare bones. No showers or towels. There are ~10 lockers by the front counter and ~18 more by their (one) bathroom. While there is a vanity area, there are no vanity amenities, like deodorant or dry shampoo, like how SLT may have, and their lockers are pretty old. For the class itself, the machines are in one straight line along the mirrors, which I liked. The moves for the class are projected along the wall. My instructor, Megan Tsao, walked first timers through how to use the machine. She was articulate and demonstrated the moves on the side throughout the class. I believe Bodyrok is considered Lagree, so the class difficulty was manageable, but a good workout. We're shown adjustments without judgement. Staff here is fine + curt. Not overtly friendly. Studio is generally clean, since it's barebones.
