The workout style combines dance-based movements with low-impact exercises that target different muscle groups, providing a dynamic and challenging experience. Members consistently praise the exceptional instructors who bring unique energy to each class while maintaining high standards of motivation and attention to individual needs. Reviewers highlight the welcoming atmosphere that avoids exclusivity, with staff greeting everyone warmly and making visitors feel like regulars. The workouts are described as challenging yet accessible, with instructors offering modifications for those struggling and maintaining good volume levels. Some concerns mention occasional overcrowding that limits movement space and classes that feel more like yoga flows than traditional barre, with one reviewer noting insufficient form correction during busy sessions.

My only regret with Barre3 is not finding out about them sooner. When you enter the studio, you are always and mean always greeted with a smile. I have been part of studios that you only book with certain instructors, thats not the case at Barre3, every instructor is amazing. They all have their own vibe that they bring to the class that makes working out fun. They all have this natural but fierce way of motivating and challenging you through class. Not to mention their playlists always keep the energy high in the studio. And they change their workout series every couple of weeks, so you don’t feel like you are doing the same workout every day. Not only, do workout changes, but they have so many classes to choose from. Signature being my favorite but I always take cardio and strength to build endurance and muscle. Between all the amazing staff and workouts, I am so happy to say not only do I feel better physically but also mentally! I guess, that’s what working out will do to you! I’ll shut up soon, but if you’re ever having one of those days you need a win, this studio gives you a win, time and time again.

Best workout I have ever gotten. This blew my mind it was SO hard!! Also the employees were so so nice and accommodating and helpful as I had a lot of questions and a few accommodations I needed. Good volume in the room too — it isn’t too loud. I like that the instructors ask permission to give you adjustments, and also they notice and show substitute moves if you seem to be struggling. I’ll definitely be coming back. For such an intense fitness studio, I felt very included and I didn’t feel that air of exclusivity or competition that can sometimes be felt in more intense fitness classes or studios. Thanks for the great workout.

As a member in a different state, I thought it would be fun to take a class at another location. The West Village studio delivered the same great energy and upbeat experience I've come to expect from Barre 3. The staff was friendly, and I felt welcomed as if I were a regular. I was challenged by the Signature class and sweaty in a good way by the end. I'd happily return to the West Village location if I'm ever in the city again.

I came for a class that was more like a yoga flow type class, I love barre3 and their style of barre classes. You get a dynamic workout that is dance and movement based, working different muscles and low impact.

While the instructor was nice, the class was very crowded (to the point that I couldn’t do some of the movements) and very hot. The instructor didn’t correct anyone’s form, and a lot of people had bad form and would probably hurt themselves! I think we used the bar twice, so for me this isn’t really a “barre” class.
