The two head coaches and co-owners, David and Emilio, are caring, attentive, fun, warm, thoughtful, encouraging, and so passionate. I really appreciate how they create an inclusive environment that feels welcoming and supportive, and it feels so genuine :) Each session makes you feel better about yourself and believe in your ability to grow. I deeply value how they strive to build a community around the gym not only through each training session but also through additional events and get togethers. It all seems so natural and effortless; it feels like it’s just who Emilio and David are, while I’m sure it requires so much care and hard work. And accordingly, the gym is full of people who are sweet and kind-hearted. It’s only been a few months since I started, and it’s already helped me tremendously in building confidence and learning how to commit, and that has impacted how I see other parts of my life. They make me want to be a better version of myself :) I always look forward to training, and I’m really excited to see this community continue to grow. Highly recommend! I am sure you will love it here.

Over the last 3 years I’ve traveled all over the country trying different gyms/bootcamp style places. I’ve done everything from places like Barry’s, F45, Sweat 440, to more local places that are only one or two gyms where it may be cross fit style, circuit, or lifting focused. Across all the places I’ve tried I’ve never found a place like 720 Strength, no gym has ever come close to trying to get to know my personal fitness and tailoring things to me as 720 does. After just a week or so the trainers will learn your movements, your style of pushing yourself and your goals. From there they will push and challenge you in new ways while making you hit new achievements but in a safe manner where you never feel close to getting injured (for example just this week I learned to do a muscle up, when it was something I never considered. Wasn’t until the trainer Emilio told me he thinks I’m ready to give this a shot and walked me through phases of movements to be able to hit it). Beyond the personal aspects between you and trainer, 720 goes even further and looks to build a community, so that you get to enjoy the people you’re working out with. It quickly becomes more than just a gym.

Hands down, the best gym experience I’ve ever had. From day one, Emilio and David made me feel like I had my own personal hype team. They’re not just trainers — they’re invested in your growth, your goals, and your mindset. The energy here is unmatched. What really makes 720 Strength stand out is the community. The other members I’ve met are incredibly supportive — no ego, no BS, just real people pushing each other to get better every day. I’ve never felt more motivated, more capable, or more excited about where I can take my fitness journey. If you’re looking for a gym that feels like home and challenges you to level up — this is it.

720 Strength Lower East Side is truly a special gym. The owners and head coaches, Emilio and David, are two of the most kind, caring coaches you will ever meet. They check in with you multiple times a week just to see how you're doing, how class felt, and when you're coming next. It's no surprise that everyone at the gym ends up developing close friendships with them - their warm, approachable energy makes you feel supported from day one, and you can tell they genuinely care about every single member's wellbeing. I also enjoy the variety of classes 720 offers. There are different types of strength, conditioning, and mobility classes throughout the week, which makes it easy to pick what aligns with your goals. For me, that is improving my endurance, mobility, and maintaining muscle, and I have been able to craft my weekly schedule around that. Emilio and David will even sit down with you to help you choose a class pack or membership that fits with your goals and budget. I ended up choosing the unlimited monthly membership, which is one of the best commitments I have made for my health this year! In just a few months, I have gained so much confidence using tools that were once intimidating - kettlebells, maces, sandbags (and more), all thanks to their coaching. Their classes are never just a quick demonstration. They walk up to you throughout class, guide you through each movement, and make sure you never feel lost or unsure. On top of excellent coaching, Emilio and David are incredibly organized. They update their instagram @720strengthlowereast daily with member progress, gym improvements, and schedule changes. It really shows how much pride they take in the community they've built. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone, whether you're visiting NYC or living here long-term. It is a supportive, friendly, and motivating space that makes you want to show up for yourself.

I’ve always felt a bit intimidated by strength training spaces as a queer dude, but 720 Strength Lower East Side has truly changed that for me. I’ve had an incredible experience working with familiar strength training tools like kettlebells and the barbell, as well as trying new and challenging equipment such as sandbags and maces. As a Muay Thai athlete, Coaches David & Emilio have also created targeted Strength & Conditioning programming to specifically improve my explosiveness, speed, and overall athletic performance, which has been a game changer for both me and my teammates. Beyond the amazing training, the warm and inclusive community is something I deeply value. The coaches are intentional about fostering connection by hosting social events, dance classes, and other activities that make everyone feel welcome and supported. Highly recommend to anyone looking for strength training in an inclusive, community-focused environment!
