I’ve been going to Sunset Park PureGym for a while now and it’s honestly one of the cleanest gyms I’ve been to. The place is always well kept and the overall vibe is great it’s motivating without feeling intimidating. The manager, Alexander, is also amazing. He’s very professional, friendly, and you can tell he really cares about the gym and the people who go there. Definitely recommend this location.

Google says this gym is open 24 hours, but when I showed up on Sunday it was closed with a handwritten note on the door. I guess the “24 hours” here means sometimes. Please update the hours online so people don’t waste a trip.

This truly has been an awful experience with this new management of pure gym. They switch to an automated entrance system, I have been paying my membership diligently and I was denied access twice. I asked for information on whom I can call and they gave me an email address which I emailed and after an entire day I have not received a response to my being denied access even though I paid my bill on the first of December. How convenient yo have a corporate policy that allows them to not have to have a human interact with customers. Its so much easier to not be accountable when a customer cant voice their concern to someone who had to take action. They say reach out via email or social media. Social media is a joke. Like a social media profile is more responsive? Just absolute garbage customer service and highly caution anyone from joining this gym. I have been a member for blink for a very long time and had never had such an awful experience. It has been about 4 days and I still have not received a response to my email, they say reach out again and we may answer. Then how come you haven’t answered to the two prior emails I sent.

The five-star reviews for this facility are difficult to understand and appear questionable. This gym does not meet even a two-star standard. Equipment is frequently unavailable—either missing, broken, or occupied by individuals who monopolize machines for 30 minutes or more per session, with little consideration for others. The climate control is extremely poor. The second floor is consistently hot, humid, and smells of sweat and dampness, while the basement is uncomfortably cold with no adequate heating. Restroom conditions are unacceptable and worse than many public facilities. While the membership price is low, the gym is clearly oversold. During most visits, expect to wait 10–15 minutes just to access a single machine. Additionally, many members demonstrate a lack of basic gym etiquette, which further diminishes the overall experience

Been a member since 2018, as at that time it was basically the only gym in this neighborhood. I just saw it all in this gym, exercised my patience many times, however one gets tired of seeing wrong things happening in a daily basis. Most members hold machines for each others, specially when they speak same language from their countries , others act like PT making $$$ from their friends and acquaintances and also holding machines. Today, unfortunately it happens again and the people involved helped each others, lying about everything with management. I asked the manager to look at the cameras, informed times and so. And when they realized I asked for that, one of them confronted manager and myself, and loudly say that she would knock me off. Imagine go to a gym trying to be healthy and hear this!!! I realized was time to cancel. I just don’t have patience to keep dealing with this kind of low level behavior people! If management wants they could clearly see it. I took one picture of the equipment in reference, but will not share it for respect of others near the machines.
