reviewsWhat Members Say

Members consistently praise the gym's modern equipment, clean facilities, and helpful staff. However, nearly all reviews express strong dissatisfaction with the new security cage system, describing it as confusing, impersonal, and unsettling like a high security facility. Specific concerns include accessibility issues for larger individuals, reduced staffing since the conversion from Blink, increased membership costs with additional fees, and frustration with the requirement to scan both entering and exiting. While the workout environment itself receives positive feedback, the entry experience and membership policies significantly impact overall satisfaction.

Great staff, clean facilities, modern equipment, and convenient location. However, the newly installed full-body security cages used for both entering and leaving the gym are... startling. I typically only encounter systems like this in high-security data centers as part of my work (they're literally called "mantraps") not in a place designed to feel welcoming or health-focused. The effect is impersonal, constricting, and honestly a little unsettling. It’s understandable that the gym wants to streamline costs and staffing, but this feels like the wrong place to do it. I'd genuinely encourage the corporate leadership team to walk through these gates every day to understand the experience they're asking from members. It's off-putting enough that it impacts an otherwise excellent gym.

Love the gym, but this new door… wow 😂 It’s like going through customs just to work out. Everyone is confused and annoyed. Please bring back a normal door!

The dumbest idea of enterence system that will get them sued as soon as someone bigger size or claustrophobic gonna stuck in that capsule. BTW which never works properly. Same old Blink gym, just with more equipment, but minus staff, so you can see how filthy it is right from the first steps.

Blink was better. They fired everyone when they converted to PureGym, increased my membership cost, and have a clearly illegal “scan to leave” system that prevents you from leaving the gym unless you scan out with your app. Genuinely unsure what happens if your phone dies at the gym, or - if you’re like me - you don’t want to have to bring your phone to workout. Truly a bad company. Was a member at blink for 4 years, had to cancel with this conversion.

I use to be a member of Blink. I took some time off from the gym last year and just started my new membership with Pure yesterday. Today I decided to cancel my membership once I realized that for $34 a month I can’t bring a friend?! And also there is an annual fee of $59 that should have been mentioned during sign up. Make sure to read the contract that they email you.
