Kula is home. What can I say? I’ve been coming here since I was a wee 15 years old, and now, at almost 29, I can say without hesitation that this community of teachers, yogis, and hearts has quietly, consistently, and with infinite gentleness and patience — supported, held, educated, and cared for me in more ways than I can count. I owe so much of the goodness of who I am to this place. Here you’ll find seasoned teachers and practitioners who are compassionate, intelligent, and deeply caring. They meet you exactly where you are — whether you’re a beginner or an advanced practitioner — while holding a high and inspiring standard of practice. With a history that began as a community response to 9/11, Through like challenges, even through COVID, Kula has held steady with grace and adaptability. What stands out above all is their patience — quiet, steady, endless patience. It’s in the way they teach, the way they hold space, and the way they’ve cared for me and so many others over the years. Gentleness, patience, and grace. that’s the heart of Kula. Please join us if you feel the calling, you will be most welcome. We love you!!!!!!

Update Aug 2024: after a month of attending morning Mysore Ashtanga practices about 2x per week I've been very impressed. I'm now coming regularly and truly enjoying this practice. Augustine is a wonderful instructor. --- Loved my first Ashtanga class (Mysore). Augustine guided me and was very kind and welcoming, the practice was challenging physically and mentally and I enjoyed it.

A beautiful space for community and movement. Prenatal and postnatal class with Martine has been a life saver and wonderful form of connection with other new parents. She’s so intentional about curating class and a space where all feel welcome and seen. I recommend to anyone, but especially those who are pregnant or have given birth.

I’ve been practicing with Augustine for about 5 years as a Mysore ashtanga student, could not have asked for a more patient and knowledgeable teacher. So happy with Kyla holding this space!
