reviewsWhat Members Say

Members rave about the excellent teachers who are attentive, challenging, and incorporate breathwork and philosophy into classes, with specific praise for instructors like Kristen, Steph, Janette, and Abby. They love the clean facilities, refreshing cool towels, engaging playlists, and candlelit evening classes. Common concerns include crowded practice rooms that can limit movement during full sessions and a small, inefficiently laid-out locker area that creates stress. Several reviewers mention the studio's compact size with one bathroom and no showers, but most agree the outstanding instruction makes these drawbacks worth enduring.

Found Heatwise three years ago and never looked back! Longtime hot yoga practitioner here, I was commuting into the city from Brooklyn and was so relieved when I found the seventh avenue studio. Everyone wko works the desk is a literal bundle of joy (Kristen, Steph, Janette, Abby--ILY) and the teachers are, almost without exception, all excellent. There's a real focus, threaded throughout all class types, on breath + yoga philosophy from most of the teachers, which is a lot to ask for in a high volume City studio known for power vinyasa... Anyway, great teachers, amazing member perks, lovely facilities...go here!!!

Heatwise Park Slope absolutely rules! All of the teachers are so amazing and uniquely different in their classes. Playlists so great that I seek them out on Spotify. Attentive, kind, challenging, and thoughtful - whatever you’re looking for you will find it here. Especially love the candlelit evening classes when I can squeeze one in. Don’t sweat it - you won’t regret it.

What I love: the classes, the instructors, the cleanliness and those heavenly scented, cool towels at the end of each class. What's less enjoyable is the crowded locker area and practice room. If the class is full (typically), it's impossible to fully extend your body, or so some basic moves without smacking your neighbors. The locker area is tiny, but also poorly laid out making it incredibly ineffectient when students are trying to access their things and get dressed while others park themselves and chat, look at their phones, etc. It's a stressful and punishing enough experience that I can't not acknowledge it in my review. But the classes are just too good to pass so here's hoping there's either a redesign or they're able to acquire more space.

Heatwise is great. I went for the first time and experienced the candlelit hot yoga class- Monday 8pm. The instructor was perfect. She gave guidance and made space for us to just be if needed. The classroom is a decent size and there were not too many people. The overall space is small. One bathroom, no showers. There are plenty of lockers. You can rent mats and towels. At the end you are offered a cool damp cloth to cool you down. That felt so refreshing after class. Overall it's a good experience worth trying. Get there 15 mins early!
