GYM NYC is hands down one of the best gyms in the area. It’s super clean, family-owned, and The staff & trainers are genuinely nice, welcoming, and always willing to help. dumbbells go up to 150 lbs and having 5 squat racks means you never feel rushed or stuck waiting around for someone benching on the squat rack lol.. overall i cant recommend another gym if you're a beginner/ advanced lifter.

This is a great gym. This gym has brand new equipment that’s in better condition and quality than Brooklyn Heights Equinox. There’s plenty of space, so no waiting around even at busy times. The clientele is focused on working out, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is welcoming without being overcrowded. A great spot for a serious workout in Brooklyn. Great value for serious gym goers in the area.

Awesome gym. Cancelled my Equinox gym membership after using a day pass at this gym. In comparison to Eqx Brooklyn Heights, the gym is much cleaner, is newer, has better equipment (lifefitness, rogue, hammerstrength, etc), and has nicer, more accommodating staff. I rarely have to wait for a machine or free weights. More plates have been ordered to fill the gap in a lack of 25-45lb weights. Locker room is really clean, lockers don’t require you to bring your own lock, has a legit sauna, and the showers are super nice. The build out is a bit strange (half of the place is like a hotel gym), but it’s easy to get over that, considering the great amenities. Highly recommend.

Best Gym in Brooklyn if your priority is the equipment, cleaness and ease of use. Never to crowded, stuff is stellar and the quality of the equipment is just 5 stars (most is hammer strength). I couldn't recommend it more (check my reviews, I have been in dozens of gyms)

The Good: New equipment, spacious gym, and probably the best value among the gyms in this area. A solid option for getting in a serious workout. The Bad: Operated amateurishly. For example, the gym is advertised as opening at 8 am on weekends, but it is usually locked at that time; this Saturday, I waited outside the gym for 20 minutes until a staff member showed up at 8:30 to open up. Unacceptable. It’s a recurring problem, one that I’ve never encountered at another professional gym. Also the showers in the men’s locker room sometimes don’t have hot water, especially on weekends.
