I’ve been a member of this gym for about 6 months now and it's been a great experience! From day one, everyone has been super welcoming and supportive. The classes are fun and the coaches do an awesome job of encouraging everyone and making workouts enjoyable—even when they’re challenging. One thing I really appreciate is the structure of the programming. I like that we focus on a specific strength movement for 4–6 weeks at a time. It gives me the chance to actually track my progress and see improvements, without getting bored doing the exact same thing every day. The gym itself is spacious, clean, and really well maintained. There’s plenty of room to work out comfortably, and the equipment is always in great shape. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this gym to anyone looking for a fun, structured, and welcoming place to train!

GF is a such a lovely gym & community! I've been a member here for several months & love the group training format and strength focused programming. It can sometimes be a challenge to find a welcoming fitness community, but everyone at GF is always so friendly and supportive. Every coach is fabulous & brings their own unique style to classes. Brad, the owner, is always helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend!

As someone who had never done strength training in a gym environment, and who has a particular set of former injuries to work around, I couldn't have asked for a more welcoming environment than what exists at Gowanus Fitness. Between engaging and knowledgeable instructors, comprehensive exercise programs, and a friendly community, Gowanus Fitness has excelled on axes I hadn't even considered. Whether you're new to the gym, or a more seasoned regular, I would absolutely recommend giving Gowanus Fitness a try.

I cannot say enough good things about Gowanus Fitness! I started their group classes while I was 6 months pregnant and continued until the end of my pregnancy with the help of their knowledgeable trainers. I always felt safe and attended to if I needed to modify any movements while also being encouraged to push myself however possible. Gowanus fitness is such a wonderful community for all levels of fitness and weightlifting abilities!

I was looking to add some variety to my workouts and Gowanus Fitness is the perfect neighborhood spot to do that! I fell into a routine with my workouts before coming here and since joining I’ve learned so much more about proper form and the variety of exercises I can do. The instructors and the other members are very friendly too. I look forward to going to a class every week. Highly recommend!
