Absolutely love this gym. My wife and I have been going a few times a week for a year now and its probably the most comfortable I've ever felt working out. Plus the staff is excellent, attentive and always around when I need something.

I enjoyed my time at this location so much that I upgraded my membership. The manager, Ronald, was a great help in transitioning to set this up as my new home gym, and Nick at the front desk helped resolve some confusion with the change in membership. A well-maintained facility with good amenities, I find it worth the extra travel distance for a better gym experience!

Overall, this location is decent enough to get the job done. Friendly warm greeting staff. The equipment and floor space are somewhat limited and the gym could benefit from acquiring newer, more modern machines. On the plus side, I do enjoy the sauna, the locker rooms and shower areas generally feel clean and sanitary. The biggest disappointment is the music programming. The playlist could be far more balanced. It currently leans heavily toward mainstream pop and electronic club tracks, with very limited representation of hip-hop, soul, reggae or R&B. Given that this location is in Fort Greene, Brooklyn not Central Park West, Hudson Yards or SoHo, the music doesn’t fully reflect the culture, energy or diversity of the surrounding community or the membership base. A more inclusive and locally aware music rotation would greatly improve the overall experience and make the gym feel more aligned with where it actually lives.

I had a very disappointing experience due to poor customer service from Julian at the front desk. I activated a three-day guest pass that clearly stated it was valid within seven days. At no point did the wording indicate that the visits had to be consecutive, so I reasonably planned to use the pass to test the gym on both a weekend and a weekday before joining. On my first visit on a weekend, the front desk staff was very friendly. Because of that experience, I specifically wanted to come back on a weekday after work to confirm how busy the gym gets before making a final decision. I was honestly about 99 percent sure I would have joined after today’s visit. Unfortunately, when I returned for that weekday visit after having used only one of the three guest pass days, I was denied entry. I calmly explained the confusion and asked if a one-day courtesy exception could be made so I could complete my evaluation. Julian stated he was the only manager available and refused to honor my three-day guest pass or allow entry, despite my having used only one of the three days. Instead, I was told I would need to pay a $35 day fee just to try out the gym on a weekday or commit to membership immediately. A simple courtesy visit would have confirmed a new member. Due to this interaction, I’m no longer interested in joining this location and will be looking for a different gym instead.
